Sean P. Walsh graduated cum laude from Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, in 2002, receiving his degree in Political Theory and Public Law. Sean earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow in 2005. After law school, Sean practiced family law and criminal defense law in Lewiston, Idaho. In 2007, Sean moved with his family to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, where his law practice focused on criminal defense litigation and child protection matters. In 2006 and 2007, he completed two nationally renowned criminal defense training programs at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy in Louisville, Colorado. In 2010, Sean attended the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia. That same year, Sean started his own private practice and focused on criminal defense and family matters. In 2011, the Federal Courts appointed Sean to the Criminal Justice Act Panel of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. In 2015, the Idaho Supreme Court placed Sean on the Idaho Capital Defense Counsel Roster. Sean is among the few Attorneys in the five Northern Counties of Idaho who are currently qualified by the Idaho Supreme Court to accept appointments in death penalty defense cases. Sean is currently a member of the Executive Committee on the Board of Directors for the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is a lifetime member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Sean serves as Managing Partner of Walsh & Lewis PLLC, and practices State and Federal criminal defense. Sean is also currently a member in good standing with the Idaho State Bar Association.
