If you’re looking for an experienced, thorough, detail-oriented, compassionate and professional divorce attorney who will advocate for you and get the job done, look no further than Shelley Akamatsu. Even though my divorce was a simple property divorce and did not involve any complex issues, it did i...nvolve having my ex served in Canada. From the time of my consultation with her, she was knowledgeable and compassionate towards my situation. She was an advocate of mine from the very beginning. What impressed me most is that her communication was always incredibly prompt and timely. She was very responsive very quickly even though I was clearly not her only client. I hired her Thursday, and by Tuesday afternoon she had my divorce petition submitted electronically. From the time I hired her to the time the petition was signed by the judge, took just over 1 1/2 months total. Shelley is incredibly efficient and communicative, which is rare in an attorney who is also compassionate. Shelley will fight for what you want in a professional, upstanding, assertive manner. My experience with Shelley was pleasant during a situation that was incredibly difficult, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who has a need for a divorce attorney.

Sweetest Bulldog Ever!!

I originally contacted Shelley Aug 2020. I needed to file for divorce and had no idea what to do. Shelley walked me through the whole process and held my hand through each step. It has taken almost a full year for the divorce to go through, due to the Respondent dragging his feet. Each time there ...was an extension, Shelley would be sure to let the Judge know that we have been very patient and would like to push forward. She also offered advice and gave great direction based on my needs. I have offered her services to anyone else I have come in contact with struggling through the same situation.
