My record included the most a suapended license to never being in any physical altercation. The events that took place were something that I would've never of been able to handle on my own. Finding a good lawyer is like finding a good doctor! When there is something wrong with your health you want the best doctor you can find.....enough said ;) I saw mr Cox's business profile online. Profiles online always need to be verified. I found out by having my consultation and was immediately... impressed with Mr Cox. From being clear on costs to having my questions answered on my legal situation clearly and pragmatically satisfied. A sword in one hand a cross in the other was his approach to handling my case. When I needed to contact Mr Cox, my calls were either answered immediately or soon after. Being falsely charged with domestic abuse by my live in girlfriend was very stressful. Jon is a man that you know just from his handshake you can trust him. He listened to me and was very upfront. I didn't feel like he pushed me into taking a deal just because it was easier for him. He went to bat for me. I'm thankful to have had him by my side during one of the most difficult and ...trying times.

I hired Jon after a respectable local attorney I know, referred him because he was too busy to take my case. In the beginning of my case Jon seemed to be on it, but as my case progressed he put less and less effort toward it. I'm not going to dive into all the details of my case, it would not be a sh...ort review. But I will say, I took my case to trial with Jon and he showed up to trial with one piece of evidence that he tried to admit at trial, not prior like he's required to. To no surprise, the judge did not allow it. so we basically had no evidence in my favor. There was multiple pieces of evidence I thought he was bringing in my defense. I did a lot of ground work for him, providing him with relevant case law, providing proof my due process rights had been violated. He did nothing with any of this info. He even yelled at me in his office saying he was not pursue a defense when I provided him with proof my due process rights had been violated. I don't know if it's an ego thing or what it is. I honestly feel he is just lazy. He thought he could admit minimal evidence at last minute and possibly win my case. I was charged with a DUI, and I thought Jon could be helpful with that because he's been charged with multiple DUI's... WRONG! After I was sent to prison for this crime I was not guilty of, I talked to a few other people in prison that had also hired Jon but had different charges and very similar stories, in regards to Jon's performance. I'm currently continuing to fight this case with a new attorney and working on holding Jon accountable for his negligence. Save yourself the worry, hire someone else.
