I graduated Cum Laude in 2006 with a BA in Communication Studies. While pursuing my Juris Doctor degree, I received a pro bono honors award for my work with the YWCA Domestic Violence Legal Clinic. I worked with the San Diego County Counsel Juvenile Dependency Division as a Certified Legal Intern, which allowed me to successfully argue a case in front of the California Court of Appeals.
After completing my Juris Doctor with a concentration in Child, Family, and Elder Law, I completed the California Bar Examination. I operated a solo family law firm in California until I moved to Colorado in 2013.
I am a passionate and dedicated professional who strives to help families resolve their complex situations with compassion, flexibility, and integrity.

"I endorse this lawyer. Amanda was a strong advocate for her client, but never ceased to be a professional."
"Amanda is easy to work with (saves clients money) and is more than competent in and out of the courtroom. She does a great job for her clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. Amanda is a knowledgeable and skilled attorney. She works hard for her clients and gets results. Amanda treats people with respect and honesty. She's a great person and lawyer."
"I endorse this lawyer. Amanda is keenly focused on helping families sort through difficult times. While some attorneys may take a more combative approach to family law dealings, Amanda understands the long term ramifications of taking an adversarial approach to family law. She is most interested in helping our clients come to reasonable and long-lasting solutions, rather than heat of the moment "victories" at the expense of children involved. She is smart, articulate and knows when to collaborate and compromise, and when to dispense with pleasantries and fiercely fight for her clients' interests. Exactly the type of attorney who can balance conflict resolution and litigation."
"Ms. Riggs is a very good attorney and a very smart person, who gives her clients her maximum efforts at all times. I endorse this lawyer."
"I endorse this lawyer. Amanda is a highly respected attorney and an exceptional advocate. This world needs more attorneys like Amanda Riggs."
