I have professionally handled nearly two thousand legal matters in numerous practice areas to include military law, business law, family law, juvenile law, civil litigation, and mediation. Prior to practicing law, I served on active duty in the United States Army as a Military Intelligence Officer.
I am currently a Colonel in the Army Reserve, serving as a Deputy Chief of Staff G2 of the 108th Training Command (IET) in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I received her B.A. at Santa Clara University, a J.D. at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. I have over 150 hours of continuing legal education in family law, business law, mediation, negotiations, legislation, and ethics.
My military education includes Command and General Staff College, Army Advance Operations Course, Pre-Command Course, Military Intelligence Career Courses, and the Strategic Intelligence Course.
I volunteer with Metro Volunteer Lawyers and Colorado Lawyers for Colorado Veterans. I also participates in the annual "Veterans Stand-down" in conjunction with the Colorado National Guard and volunteer my time with the Colorado Veterans Project.
I am married with four children and love to spend time with family and friends and take advantage of the Colorado outdoors!

Katie appealed an adverse ruling in district court for us. After a few months of back and forth with the other party, she received a favorable settlement.

Katie and her staff helped me through the whole divorce process, offering advice when asked, helping me to understand the process, and deal with family dynamics.

The absolute best experience I have ever had with an attorney. Katie and ALL members of the firm were knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. I really can't thank them enough for all the time and effort they put in to get my situation, not only handled, but in such a way that I would have never dreame...

Over two months ago I consulted with Katie about my case. My ex-wife claimed to have a lawyer and I felt I needed someone on my side. I felt like my case was a difficult one, since my ex-wife gave no clarity to what she was actually doing with her move out of state. Her behavior was alarming, selling...

Katie did a great job for me. She handled a very complicated divorce for me and helped guide me through the decision making process with regard to how best to achieve the outcome I desired for myself and my former spouse. Her knowledge of the system and the law's requirements surrounding a rather uni...
"I met Katie at an event providing volunteer services for veterans. It is clear that she is a fierce advocate for those who have served in the armed services, and I am happy to endorse her."
"I am endorsing Katie because she a dedicated and talented lawyer. She works hard and gets results without ever sacrificing professionalism. Katie is ethical and honest. If you need a steady hand to guide you through a difficult situation, she's the best!"
"I endorse this lawyer. Katie is an exception attorney. She treats each client as an individual and finds creative and thoughtful ways to reach a resolution."
"Katie, et al. are outstanding. They take care of their clients in times of trouble, making everyone's life a bit easier. I always recommend Katie to client's that are going through family law struggles."
"I endorse this lawyer. Katie is a thoughtful, empathetic and professional attorney who cares for the human element alongside intelligently and professionally resolving legal disputes."
"I endorse this lawyer. Katie has a common sense approach to family law. She is a mother of two, and understands the long term ramifications of a poorly planned parenting plan. If you are looking for an attorney who can be honest and forthright with a client, tough, yet reasonable with opposing counsel (party) and has the best interests of your kids at heart, she is the attorney of choice. As long as a client is reasonable and honest, she will give you very solid legal advice, and help you resolve a potentially very emotionally charged legal issue."
"Ms. Pierce is a caring professional who strives to give her clients the best possible service. She is honest with her clients to ensure they have realistic expectations. Ms. Pierce makes sure each client is a priority and works tirelessly to obtain successful resolution of whatever issue the client is facing."
"I endorse this lawyer. Katie is highly respected among the legal community. She has a reputation for being a tough and fierce advocate for her clients."
"What I find most appealing about Katie Pierce’s legal practice is how understanding she is of her clients and how responsive she is to her clients. Katie takes the time to understand each client’s unique position and help create a solution that fits their budget and their needs. Her work is excellent."
"I have known Katie Pierce for many years as both a legal professional and a military officer. She is extremely intelligent, diligent and committed to her clients and the legal profession as a whole. With a background dedicated to public service and respect for individual rights, she can be trusted with the most sensitive matters that require a fine legal mind, compassion, and absolute discretion. Her knowledge of law, application of common-sense, and respect for the needs of her clients far surpass those of many professionals I have worked with in my twenty-one years of legal practice. I offer her my highest and most enthusiastic endorsement."
