We've all heard the lawyer jokes but once you need a lawyer you will want to have Ms Sedlak on your side. My life was flipped upside down. I couldn't believe I was in my situation. I had a case where I had to hire an attorney. I interviewed with several before hiring Ms Sedlak. She is extremel...y knowledgeable with the law and courts. She is a fighter and will not back down. I did not have a appreciation for lawyers until I was in a situation where I needed one. I am extremely happy she was on my side. She is very respectful and gets the respect from the courts. Save your money and choose someone else to handle your divorce. Melanie Sedlak took two weeks to respond to my inquiry about how to handle taxes during our proceedings (the IRS doesn’t wait!) and had the nerve to call me 10 minutes before mediation to ask if I wanted her to be present. Of course when... I showed up my ex was present with his attorney.... status conference post mediation I called in on time and the court was asking where my attorney was. I was told she was a total tough bulldog but I found little motivation or tough within her. She lazily told me the judge would likely half the debt and didn’t put any effort in. I canned her and got a different attorney.
