Biography
My practice focuese on criminal defense litigation, family law litigation, dependency and neglect matters, and juvenile defense. In my thirteen years as a trial attorney, I have litigated thousands of cases in courts across Colorado -- including cases of first degree murder, aggravated robberies, sexual offenses, organized drug and gang crimes, and family law matters.
My primary experience is in representing individuals facing prosecution by the government and my roster is clients is wide-ranging and includes representing individuals accused of misdemeanors and felonies or those facing administrative sanctions.
In 2005, I entered into private practice after my career as a Deputy State Public Defender. In 2010, I merged my law practice with Houtchens, Houtchens, & Greenfield, joining as a partner.

DO NOT HIRE HER FOR A DIVORCE
She is very limited in her communication. She contacts you 10 min before your hearing after not speaking with you for weeks. She was on my case for 9 months and nothing progressed. I didn't realize I could change attorneys.

Save your money and choose someone else to handle your divorce. Melanie Sedlak took two weeks to respond to my inquiry about how to handle taxes during our proceedings (the IRS doesn’t wait!) and had the nerve to call me 10 minutes before mediation to ask if I wanted her to be present.
