I was charged with DUI in Feb 2020. I refused breath alcohol tests and chemical test. I did not know back then that refusal would automatically get me 12pts on license, and a DUI charge. This was my first offense. I talked to Barry and hired him immediately. Most 1st time refusals usually get pled down to DWAI charges, but she had never had a case where it got pled down to non-alcohol charge. I cannot thank Barry enough for this great resolution. I was hit with a slew of nightmare charges after crashing my car, including DUI. I was disoriented from the crash and the wicked concussion I sustained during it, but I wasn't intoxicated, so I opted to take a blood test after a police officer finally came. The officer was incompetent, and to ...my surprise, came up with charge after charge, but none of them were true and I was in shock, literally, and disbelief. Because of the charges, I was put in jail instead of in a hospital and left to suffer overnight with no one in my family knowing where I was and without medical attention for my injuries except for ointment for the gash on my stomach the next morning. I was 1600 miles from Denver in S. Carolina when I was served with a temporary restraining order from my ex-wife.. It was on the evening of Friday the 13th.. I began researching attorneys in the Denver area who were skilled in such defense, and on Saturday morning, I desperately tried to contact a ...few that seemed to be good candidates. Above all else I knew I was innocent, but moreover, I knew that I could not afford to lose - my job requires a very clean background.. Long story short, I chose Barry Lancaster, and although he was not the cheapest, even before I had retained/hired him, he asked the best questions and was much quicker at gathering information. This was very important because I was due in court, in only 5 days! We worked together at such a long distance and 2 hr difference in time zones to dig through yrs worth of data, to make an airtight case. Bottom line: very professional and thorough; very insightful and personable.

I had am interlock in my car, and they wanted to increase my time by two years because of a false positive. Barry charged me $2,000 for about 2 hours of work. A few months later they tried to increase my time again on the same charge. Even though I had already hired Barry for that specific case, he w...anted to charge me another $4,000. When I said no and asked for my documents from the case for my records he didn't give them to me, and since then, he hasn't returned my calls or e-mails consecutively for months. He knows I'm a college student paying for myself, and it seemed low to charge me $4,000 more. I emptied my savings on his first retainer, which he knew, and gave me a spiel about having a wife and kid to support. Barry, you know I paid you $2,000 for this case. Why are you wanting to charge me another $4,000, and why won't you give me my records?
