The GOAT -
I have arguably the most complicated and most litigated custody case known to mankind - while others refuse to work on my case Jessica has taken it on with such grace and positivity. She was not intimidated by the numerous pleadings and clear mental health instability that the opposing side brings to the table. She has cleaned up messes my previous attorney made. Jessica truly cares about my daughter and what is best for her, even if that means she has to keep it real with me and tell me things I don’t want to hear. She’s a straight shooter and is incredible in the court room. I am so blessed that she has become a part of my case and I trust her to guide me through the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I came to Jessica to get a second opinion on my divorce case when it was nearing its completion. Specifically, on the parenting plan aspect. She gave me excellent advice and also provided me with the tools to go back to my attorney and get a better plan in place for my kids. A perfect 10!
This Lawfirm is amazing. It’s exactly the kind of relationship I’d hoped for, and obtained, during my hell case. She’s not the cheapest bay far, but she shoots straight, and empowered me to make financial choices about our strategy that the lawyers I met with before just glossed over. My total case cost was about $30,000 over 18 months. The other side was at more than $50k. My ex and I both had top attorneys but only I walked out of our trial knowing my lawyer had treated my fairly, with respect, throughout the entire term of my case. Now that I’m done and case is closed Jessica checks in to send nice emails or send me articles and stuff she thinks I might find helpful. Most lawyers are SO cold. Not Jessica. The best choice I made at age 40, when I decided to begin my life again without my Biolar ex, allowed me to move forward respectfully. I’m so proud of the choices I made and the way we acted along the way. Assholes seem to win too often. But not here. The good guys won!

I couldn’t possibly tell you how fantastic this person is! During one of the most difficult times in my life she was a hand reaching out to save me from what seemed like complete disaster. Made a tragic time something we could survive
Our case involves the death of a young family member. We were so confused and intimidated by not feeling like we could trust anyone with CPS or DA’s office until Jessica intervened to protect our grandparent rights. We now have custody and have her to thank for getting us our granddaughter back.

I’m a lawyer who hired Jessica as my lawyer
I first hired Jessica to help file my divorce when my husband was arrested on domestic violence, child abuse and gun charges when my daughter was less than a year old. While I’m also a lawyer I knew nothing about family law. I was so scared and she got me through each day and each court appearance at a time when I couldn’t even picture a tomorrow. Immediately after my divorce case she helped me revisit my comprehensive estate plan to ensure it didn’t conflict with guardianship contingencies specific to my daughter. She’s one of very few lawyers I l know who really seem to understand the relationship between the two objectives. When my ex was released from prison after 2 1/2 years, he genuinely seemed like a new and different man. She respectfully engaged a “trust but verify” strategy that gives me the power to yank my ex’s contact with our daughter at almost any moment and for almost any reason. As part of this, she helped me find an affordable quality court-appointed parenting coordinator that oversees my ex’s gradual reintroduction into my daughter’s life. Looking back, Jessica was the one person in my life who fully supported me when I decided to slowly begin reopening the door to a father-daughter relationship that my ex certainly didn’t deserve. Time will tell if I made the best choice. For now I know I can encourage my daughter to embrace her daddy visits. This feels right, it feels safe and it is certainly a risk that my daughter deserves to have me take.

Efficient, personable, aggressive when necessary
I have used Jessica on a number of issues, most recently a sexual harassment claim, as well as ongoing negotiations for my contentious international custody case. She is supportive, smart, extremely efficient, and easy to get in touch with. I appreciated the fact that she was realistic when it comes to laying out options and strategies -- not over-promising anything, but determined to get the best outcomes for me and for my child. Most importantly, she knows when and how to get aggressive.
