Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian is licensed to practice law in Colorado, where she has lived since 1979. She attended Cherry Creek High School. Thereafter, she graduated in 1993 from the University of Colorado, Boulder, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1993. Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian attended Tulane School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude. During law school, Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian was an associate editor of The Tulane International and Comparative Law Journal. Upon graduating law school in 1997, Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian returned to Colorado and began practicing family law.

Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian is experienced in representing clients in all areas of family law, from financially complex divorce cases to high profile custody matters. While she strives to develop creative settlement solutions for her clients, she has the litigation experience necessary to successfully represent her clients in court when settlement is not possible. Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, CBA Family Law Section, and the Arapahoe County Bar Association.

She is married with three hockey playing children. In her free time, she enjoys playing and watching ice hockey, skiing, and spending time with her family.

Best Divorce Lawyer

Kama was there from start to finish. I can't say enough about her and her team. Every question was answered and she was there for me every step of the way. She calmed me down many times, when needed. I was so comfortable asking her any and all questions about this difficult process. I would highly recommend her.

Great Lawyer

Divorce

Knowledgeable and Supportive

While hiring a lawyer for a divorce is never fun, Kama was very knowledgeable, supportive, and responsive throughout the entire process. Compassionate and competent lawyer!

Highly recommend Kama! From the day I met her, she was amazing. I was in a very vulnerable position, leaving a husband who was abusing me. i was scared and confused and she took my case and me by the hand and got a handle on a situation I was frightened of. Initially, she got me a protection order and the divorce issues were handled in a timely and proficient manner. Truly, her staff and Kama, were incredible and caring. Highly recommend.....

Excellent lawyer excellent person

Throughout my case Kama has wowed me time and time again. She's always come up with new creative ways to resolve problems and diffuse volatile situations. She always was looking out for me and my daughter's best interest since day 1. Me being a first time father had many questions and new circumstances that I'd never encountered. Unique Dissolution of Marriage

My legal counsel was very engaged in the details of my case. Apparently my situation had never actually been litigated before. My ex-wife (married 10 years) had coerced me into participating in maintaining a life insurance policy on her 1st husband wherein she was the beneficiary. I (naively) trusted her, cared for her, shared my home/house/property deed with her for 10 years, only to find out she was conducting an illicit internet relationship with another man; and, that as soon as she had access to the funds from the aforementioned insurance policy - she would demand a divorce. Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian was challenged by all of these complications,showed great compassion for my dilemma, and provided extremely useful counsel. Leaving all the extraneous drama aside, I can attest that the professional support I received during this dissolution process actually saved me from complete financial devastation. (Rather, it left me in only partial financial devastation.) I completely endorse my attorney, and plan to use her for my next divorce. God forbid!

Dont hesitate, get the best

Kama is an amazing lawyer with the backing of a well established and professional group. She's a great listener with compassion but clearly has the fortitude to go the extra mile with you in whatever circumstances. Clearly, I wouldn't want to be on the opposite side of the table in mediation or in court. Direct, reasonable in cost, flexible, knowledgable and very experienced. Wouldn't have wanted anyone else.

Compassionate and Understanding

Kama and her team are excellent. She helped me through my difficult divorce situation by providing direction while being understanding and compassionate. Best Divorce Lawyer EVER!!!

Kama and staff were amazing throughout the whole divorce process! Although divorce was not my, or Kama's, first choice, she did what needed to be done to take care of me and my family to the best of her ability. Kama is very personable and she cares that her clients needs are met short term and long term. I highly recommend Kama if you're in a situation needing a divorce. She doesn't mess around and isn't afraid to say and do what needs to be said to get the job done!

a difficult path made easier

Kama was always thinking outside the box. Compassionate, empathetic, but very quick to draw the line between fair and unreasonable when dealing with the other party. Kama and her seasoned team kept me informed with all developments along the way. I liked the fact that her staff would email me a detailed list as to what documentation I would need to gather up. In addition I liked the fact that Kama is very cost conscious and would do a lot of things to mitigate my exposure to great expense by using PLs and LA's staff where she could. At times she would allow me to do the initial foot work at minimal or no cost. But most importantly and above all Kama treated me with respect and as a friend !!! The speed in which this case was handled from start to finish, must have set records in this State and I was pleased with the outcome.
