Don’t walk, but run to another firm

If Brenda ever practices law again, don’t walk but run the other way if you are considering hiring her. I promise, there are far better attorneys in Colorado. She was suspended by the Colorado Supreme Court for a year and a day for her behavior. Remember the age old saying, if she did it one time..., she will do it again. She just cares about her pocket book with little care for her clients. In my case she filed unnecessary motions to increase her fees. What did I get in return? An angry ex that hired the best law firm in Colorado and had four attorneys working for her. They were very familiar with Brenda’s poor tactics from other cases and immediately they went on the offensive. My ex had deeper pockets than I did and they used this in their offense. They knew Brenda would file motion after motion, for really no reason and understood how expensive that was. Part of their plan was make me run out of money so I had to settle. Their tactic worked and I had to give up. By that point I had hurt any chance I had to try and work out a settlement that worked for me because how bad Brenda hurt the rapport with my ex. would never recommend her to anyone and I will always speak out and hopefully save others from the same fate.

Nothing but the Best

Writing on behalf of Brenda Storey is my pleasure. She walked me through a divorce that had its fair share of ups and down, was full of sensitive issues and seemed to last an incredibly long time. Brenda, never once, led me astray in her solid and profound advice. While I was still very emotional it ...was nice to know that Ms. Storey kept a clear head about not only what was going on at the present time in my divorce but ALSO what the present troubles meant for the future of the case and my eventual desired outcome. I grew to appreciate that while I was processing the present she had my future in mind and was acting on it accordingly. If you ever consider Brenda's advice unwelcoming or simply not applicable that is certainly not true and I would ask you reconsider what she is advising. From my experience Ms. Storey has an incredibly complex thinking process and she has seen almost everything in divorce courts from her years of experience. She predicted several things that she thought would happen in my case and when they did occur she always had a way to problem solve those events efficiently and quickly. It is hard to trust someone with such sensitive topics such as your children and finances, but Brenda's advice (every single piece of it) paid off in the end. She tells it like it is and I appreciated that- even when she had to deliver some news I did not want to hear I repeat, it all paid off in the end. It is inevitable in such trying times you may question people's advice and you may even begin to question Ms. Story. However, I learned that whenever Ms. Story wanted me to do something it was best to take her lead. She knows what she is talking about. It is much harder to work to clean up messes than it is just to take her advice in the first place. I trusted her whole heartedly and later saw the benefit in that. There is no way I would be able to walk away from divorce as satisfied as I am with the outcome had it not been for Brenda's advice. Her communication is solid, proven, and extremely intelligent. She gets to the point quickly and does not waste your time. Not only was Brenda able to help me navigate all the twists and turns that showed up in my case unexpectedly she was also able to make the financial burden of divorce easier for myself and my family. She offers discounts. She works hard and tirelessly for your case and her bills reflect both her professionalism for her office and her staff and her compassion and courtesy to you as a person. There are many options where she instructed I could do something myself to save money and then she would review it for me. It was tiring at times, but well worth it to be able to do some of the legwork and not be charged for everything. I appreciated that she did not let me work through my legal paperwork blindly. Brenda was able to calm me when I was worried, address all facets of the case, and put my needs and wants first. She was extremely professional and so were her partners, her paralegal and her office staff. I would wholeheartedly recommend Brenda Storey to anyone going through an awkward and hard divorce (especially if children are involved) and please take her advice seriously, she is one of the best at her job and has been doing this for years. All of her rewards certainly reflect her experience and expertise.

Ethical, tough, straight-shooter

Brenda was recommended to me, and after a consult with her and two other attorneys I knew she was the one for the job. I had a special case with an abusive ex, and needed an attorney who would be compassionate towards my kids and I, but also one who was tough and wouldn’t be bullied by the opposing ...side. Brenda delivered, and protected me and my kids while also maintaining composure and professionalism even when that courtesy was not returned from opposing counsel. She was honest even when the truth was hard to hear, and faught for me even when I was feeling scared and defeated. I have already recommended her to a friend and will continue to recommend her services to others who need an effective and well-balanced attorney.

Great Lawyer Can Help Reach What You Want

As a mother, nothing is more important than to be there for your child whenever she needs and to give her all the love and nurturing a mother can. I was scared and stressed going through separation and custody fight. When I found Brenda through AVVO and met her for an initial consultation, I felt str...ongly that she will be able to help me reach what I wanted for custody. My intuition was right. Brenda has been straightforward since the first time I met her, as she told me what I can expect and what I should not. She acted not only professionally, but also showed caring attitude throughout my case. It was as if she can feel what I was suffering before and during a rough divorce. She was very assertive, strong, knowledgeable, and knows what a mother wants the best for her child as she is one herself. She helped me step-by-step. Whenever I had questions or doubts, she and her staff were always quick in response. When my ex and his attorney tried to control things with threat, I wouldn't have been able to stand my feet so strong without her team. I totally agree with another person said in her review: She is confident because she knows what she is doing and will not be intimidated by games that unfortunately some attorneys try and play. I learnt the most important thing: NEVER give in to the opponent, always stand strong on your feet, because then they will always bargain with you. In the end, what matters the most is that I got what I asked: That I am the primary parent because I have always been since the day I became a mother, and that it is and would be in my daughter's best interest to be with her mom mostly and we could relocate together. What a relief! In addition, she also fought for me for part of the attorney fees that the opponent should pay due to their irresponsible actions and not following agreements and the court granted me. I really appreciate Brenda and her team and feel lucky that I have her behind my back. You can count on her and her staff.

Wonderful Attorney!

I found it so difficult finding an attorney for several matters that involved custody time with my daughter as there are few reviews to go by. Brenda was so helpful in assisting me from day one and even after two years, she still has our best interests at heart in regards to saving money and doing wh...at's best for all parties. I am so happy to have her represent me. I knew I would get results due to her professionalism and knowledge of the court system. She recommended I used Danielle for a contempt issue to save me money as she knew how important finances are for my daughters future. This just shows she is a genuinely caring person that is not out to just abuse peoples traumatic life changing events as I've witnessed in the past. We laughed often through the bad situation I had found myself in and is truly somebody I refer to as a friend for all she's done for my little girl and I. I'm a single dad and was so pleased with the outcome. If you are looking for a quality lawyer, please take her offer of a consultation. I felt it only write a review as I myself, had such a hard time looking for the right Attorney. Brenda referred two other attorneys to me for in regards to property matters that also excelled in their fields. I'm forever grateful to her and know I'll be well represented when future issues arrive should I need her.

Her responses on sites such as AVVO additionally put her out in the community, helping members of the public, contributing to the greater "legal good". You should hire her if you're in Colorado.
