Family has always been important to me.  When I'm not helping my clients, I like to spend time with my husband, my daughter, my mom, any of my family.  It doesn't matter what we're doing; what matters is how we share the time.  It is the way I grew up here in Colorado, with huge family Thanksgivings around grandma's house and, today, continued gatherings at the family farm in Cortez. It was the family's lawyer in Cortez that peaked my interest in law and how it could help people. The family business led me to get both an MBA and law degree at the same time. My life has been about family. That's what led me to the areas I practice.

While it may sound odd to say that I am passionate about my family law clients' cases and needs because I am passionate about family, my goal is to preserve aspects that can be preserved.  Aside from extreme circumstances of abuse, every child should be able to continue feeling the love of family.  No child should ever feel torn between "sides" of the family.  I always try to help my clients find reasonable ways to minimize the conflict and the potential damage to children.  If the end result is a win for the children, it is a win for both parents in the long run.

Estate planning is unique in that it is a chance to solve problems before they happen.  It is a chance to get things in order, avoid problems, soothe old wounds, and leave a final expression of love and affection.

Whole Family Legal is about helping your whole family with its legal needs in a compassionate, supportive, professional, and assertive manner.

"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Ms. Pescador recently in a case where I was the mediator retained to assist her client and another party in resolving their family law issues. I found Ms. Pescador to be a diligent and prepared advocate who understood her client's position well. In the mediation process, she made certain that her client was protected as we worked toward resolution. She also kept a careful eye on the outcome as it impacted the children of the parties."
