Maha Kamal

I came into contact with Maha as she was covering for my attorney who had a last minute Hearing he could not get out of. I will admit, having an attorney switch, especially the morning of my Child Custody Hearing (Contempt against the mother), made me apprehensive as I was worried that Maha did not k...now the particulars of the case and the struggles I have endured. What I do know is, I trust my attorney completely, and if was relying on Maha to fill in, as I think he is an amazing attorney, the person he chose would be nothing less than himself. I met Maha and we conferred before the Hearing and it became clear that she was not just stepping in and being a warm body. She had reviewed the pertinent facts of the case, conferred with my attorney and what impressed me most was she had an outline/flowchart that she wanted to follow. I felt very comfortable with her immediately, asking questions, making comments and one of the things I liked the most was she was just straight forward and honest. I made some missteps on the stand and I asked if perhaps those missteps hurt us and she pretty much called it like it was. No BS. While I love my current attorney, I do know this. If Maha needs to step in I would feel totally comfortable and if I didn't have my current lawyer, she would be the person I would go to in his absence. I was impressed by her demeanor, professionalism and I liked her personality in the way she presented herself in and out of court. She is friendly, personable, professional and was prepared, even at the last minute. The only thing I could wish for, is she joins my attorney at his firm as I would know I am in great hands all the way around. I would recommend her and again, if I didn't have my own great lawyer, I would go to her.

Maja was very knowledgeable of the family laws & the people in the different court districts she works in. From my initial phone conversation I was pretty sure she was going to be my choice. After meeting with other potential council, I felt most confident with Maja being the lawyer to help me bring ...my allocation of parental rights case to a good close. She was very upfront & honest with what her views on the steps we should take after reviewing the facts from both parties, and kept me informed on all contact & information received on the case. She made our case with the opposing council for a settlement that was fair to each side & held firm to that position with great legal arguments. With her confidence in our settlement offer, she felt going to trial was not the route this case needed to go. Opposing council agreed that trial was not necessary & we came to settlement offer almost down the line to what we had proposed. I was VERY glad in my decision to have Maja as my council & would highly recommend her to everybody. She kept what is best for the kid as the main point in developing her case, whether it was in my favor or the other parents.

Maha was recommended by a friend and it was the best recommendation ever. Maha took a direct call from me and listened to my situation and quickly came up with a game plan to help we work through my divorce. She was on point with my situation and how to move my case forward at each stage of the proce...ss. She came up with contingency plans for any direction the case would go. Having been divorced before and going through this process I know how important a good dynamic attorney is and how expensive it can be. Maha was very cost conscious and was very upfront about what it would take to get me to the end. I had no surprise during the entire process. I felt Maha really cared about my case and wanted to make sure I had the best representation from start to finish. Maha is by far the best attorney I have ever had represent me. I highly recommend Maha and would be happy to talk to anyone who is interested or has questions/concerns.

Maha is outstanding! She took took over my case 2 weeks before trial after the previous "high profile" law firm and I had irreconcileable differences over their advice to accept another continuance: an outcome that would've billed me into bankruptcy. After taking over, in only 2 weeks Maha digested 1...5 months and 3 bankers boxes full of discovery and disclosures. She comprehended and presented my case perfectly and after an 8 hour trial we achieved a result I was satisfied with. The biggest difference between Maha and previous counsel was that she genuinely cared, listened, and understood what I was telling her. And despite presumably working exclusively on my case, her fees were so reasonable that it amounted to less than 10% of what I'd paid prior counsel for just churning the file. I hope to never need a family law attorney again, but I will continue to refer and praise Maha Kamal!

I had been working with a previous lawyer find and then somehow along the way communication started to take a week in between. Luckily after ask...ing to be switched to Maha that all changed. She really helped me during the final most stressful weeks of my case. She was firm, gave me direct answers, and any question that I asked was responded to always in 24 hours or less. This is important during cases like this because you can really feel overwhelmed and just lost. It is also so great that they have a different fee structure to meet different needs. It proves that they are just as committed to their clients and getting them help anyway they can. That's an invaluable asset. If anything else comes up again with my case, I am reaching out to Maha first to continue to be that voice that can get me calm and help me face whatever issues come my way.
