In short, I got burned for $7000 and about a year and a half of my time wasted. I found out I had an 8 year-old child because the mother had kept it hidden to collect TANF money, but when they cut her off and demanded to know who the father was, DHHS contacted me for a DNA test. The test said I was t...he father, but the mother already had another man raising my kid, while the kid believed he was her dad. We went to paternity court again and again and again, and every time this attorney is hitting me with another $1000 bill so she can just drag it out some more. Then, when I finally could see my daughter, it was only with a child psych who used to be an RMOMS probation officer! I was treated like a felon the whole time and I've never been so disgusted in my life.
