About Amelia
Biography
I want my clients to know from the first time we speak how much I care about them and their case. I practice criminal defense because no one's life should be defined by their worst day, and because everyone has value and an important story to tell. Turning those values and that compassion into a zealous defense is at the core of the service Power Law provides.
I practice holistic criminal defense. This means that I not only strategically defend a client in the case they hire me for, but I will address any underlying concerns while we work together and set my clients up for success. I have extensive experience with cases involving mental health and substance use issues.
In addition to criminal defense, I am passionate about criminal justice policy reform and access to mental health, and I am involved in a number of organizations and projects to further those goals.
