The ADA on my case tried to include another person's Missouri DUI record against me (based solely on my very common name) and tried to count an underage offense over 30 years prior as a first offense. Nic not only proved my case was a 1st offense, but got it reduced to DWAI, with a very light senten...ce. I appreciate his legal knowledge, professionalism, and the great communication by all his staff.

I hired Nicholas Geman, and he was a complete failure for my case at trial. He failed to keep me informed throughout the whole case. Arraignment was continued by another attorney cause he was unable to make it. Waived my preliminary hearing without my knowledge or consent. No motions were filed befo...re motions hearing deadline. Instead of informing me of this; ask me to setup a conference to review discovery for motions hearing that had already been vacated. No objections were filed on added charges from the prosecution. Did not cross examine any of the witnesses on my behalf. Told me that he didn’t subpoena any witnesses, cause it would hurt my defense. Tried to get me to take plea at every hearing cause he said it would be in my best interest. Waived my pretrial conference without my knowledge. Witnesses had redacted there statements with the prosecution in the same month of trial. The witnesses statements were not even comparable had no credibility. Counsel didn’t even inform of this until two days before my trial. Asked for a continuance at my trial, due to his mother being sick in the hospital with ammonia. The new trial date, I tried to ask for a continuation for ineffective counsel and judge denied my request. My trial was held and he did not have my best interest, his closing statement didn’t even have anything to do with my case. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I hired Nicolas after reading many reviews and articles online to get good representation. I was looking for a lawyer who would spend time with his clients to be able to represent an accurate narrative to the judge and establish trust with me. I did not receive this as my case played out. I hired ...Nicolas to represent me for a DUI. He missed my first two court cases, sending someone else from his firm to represent me. I called his office numerous times to find out the progress and details of my case. Mostly, my calls were never returned. I would send emails asking for suggestions and as ways to handle upcoming court appearances only to be passed off to a legal assistant who didn't know any information. The court proceedings were put off for almost two years and when the court gave my sentence Nicolas shook my hand and said it was a pleasure working with me. I handed over more than 10K for below par service. Nicolas was aware of his attendance and lack of attention and addressed it by lowering his bill by $2,000 but the damage he caused still sits sourly with me. I needed to be represented and that's not what he did. He took my money, didn't establish trust and failed to manage the complexities of the litigation. Be careful when hiring this lawyer!
