John was recommended by a friend and I hired him after my civilian employer terminated me illegally for my military employment. He had his assistant read and prepare my legal documents… some of which had errors that I was not given the opportunity to fix before they were sent. My family and I initially hired another lawyer to fight for us after an extremely traumatic incident at the hands of others. We fell hook, line, and sinker for this first attorney’s lies and manipulations; in attempt to capitalize on my families pain and suffering. After almost two years of being treated worse by our attorney and his firm than the people we hired him to go after in court, this firm withdrew their representation and filed a lien to still get 40% of whatever settlement another attorney happens to win for us; because we refused a settlement offer we thought was way too low. To make matters worse, his firm threatened other attorneys, who considered acquiring us as their clients, with putting a lien on their firms; as well as defamed our character, painting a picture of us as difficult clients nobody wants. When we found John Culver our prayers were answered! He took on our case; and refused to be bullied and manipulated by our ex attorney and his firm. John has always been straightforward, transparent, and genuinely kind, caring, and compassionate towards us; as well as others he dealt with while working our case. He doesn’t merely pay lip service, telling you what you want to hear, then doing whatever he feels behind clients backs like our first firm. He’s a straightforward stand up man; who was always honest with us, even when doing so was hard. After sensing our frustrations, John even gave us an enormous break in fees; I believe out of his desire to help our family become whole again. John won our case within a year; and got us an exponentially larger settlement (Over 4x the amount) than the first lawyer acquired after almost two years of self-centered personal profit-driven work and abuse of us, his clients. Before meeting John Culver I had recently gained an enormous dislike for attorneys; feeling that everything negative I had ever heard in my lifetime about lawyers was true. I hired Mr. Culver to represent me and have not regretted this decision despite endeavoring into a much longer legal process than I expected.
