Creative application that leads to significant win

My family is grateful for the expert representation, prompt case management, and satisfying win. Seth and John steered me through the winding road of litigation from initial intake meeting through post-hearing follow-up. They were legally creative and imaginative in applying the new and unused ap...plication of law to win my case. In fact, they are recognized by fellow practitioners for their application of the law to the facts in my case that resulted in a significant award. The firm continues to bolster public awareness of law related to professional ethics rules for members of the CFA Institute and other organizations. Thanks again to Benezra and Culver for their diligence, integrity, competence, and moral fiber. Harold B. Nachtrieb, CFA

Lack of awareness

John was recommended by a friend and I hired him after my civilian employer terminated me illegally for my military employment. He had his assistant read and prepare my legal documents… some of which had errors that I was not given the opportunity to fix before they were sent. He was largely unfamili...ar with key aspects of my case, and I had to send his team the same documentation multiple times as it was overlooked. Needless to say, not a good outcome and I will be hiring an attorney more familiar with userra cases….

Great attorney! Won a jury verdict in federal court...

I previously had a somewhat negative perception of plaintiff's attorneys until I was referred to John Culver. He and his partner, Seth Benezra, were a game changer for me. Many attorneys were either afraid or not interested in my complicated (and difficult to believe) case against my powerful employe...r. Not only did John and Seth take the time to fully educate themselves on the intricate complexities of my unique and difficult case, they were passionate and driven in their pursuit of justice for me. Following a grueling legal process, they expertly exposed the collusion and deception created by the other side and won a jury verdict for me in federal court that most people thought could never happen. It was clear to me from the beginning that this was not just another law firm looking to take any client who walked in their door. Their winning track record and solid reputation in the community affords them the opportunity to be very selective in their cases. Every member of their firm was a professional and worked as part of a team that was there for me every step of the way during one of the most challenging experiences of my life. I will always be grateful for their brilliant representation, high ethical standards and fair billing practices.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
