recommended

I would like to recommend Kelly Snodgrass, She assisted me with a very complicated custody case and took the time to walk me through all the ins and outs, and kept me calm while doing so. She was extremely knowledgeable about my case and on the day of court, was spot on with all of her analyses and ...arguments. I would recommend her to anybody.

Exceptional Attorney

Having worked with several different lawyers in the past on a prior divorce case, Kelly restored my faith that there really are exceptional attorneys. She is truly exceptional. I can't say enough positive things about her. Kelly worked with me when my ex husband filed a bogus restraining order a...gainst a friend who was intervening on my behalf to stop my ex husbands abusive behavior. Kelly was professional, efficient and cost effective, wicked sharp, kind, and powerfully defended us, such that the order was dropped by the judge. During my divorce, I tried to work with maybe 3 or so attorneys - I never felt confident in their abilities, or that they even really cared of my outcome. Kelly was the first person I worked with who was professional and carried a great amount of integrity. As much as I wish I didn't have to continue involvement of the courts with my ex-husband, it's a reality that must be dealt with and Kelly is the only person that I would place my confidence and trust to assist me in the future.

Highest Level of Integrity

My husband abruptly quit his high paying job and suddenly abandoned me and our two small children and moved to a foreign country. It was shocking to say the least and I wasn’t sure where to turn. I was thrilled that Kelly agreed to accept my divorce case, which was not exactly simple with an interna...tional complexity. Kelly understood the case fully and kept me informed of everything. She answered all of my questions promptly and completely in detail with respect and kindness. Her integrity and professionalism are impressive. Kelly went way above and beyond any expectations. Her compassion helped give me the courage to redesign my life and move forward in a positive way.

Disappointed

I hired Ms. Snodgrass to write a demand letter to a merchant. We had a complimentary initial consult and I provided the details of the situation.. I provided a narrative document. I needed to remove myself from the situation, hence, the need the hire an attorney. The letter to the company was, for... all intents and purposes, the same narrative (with my corrections to match the narrative document provided) and she sent it to the same department (not legal) that I had been speaking with and had been ignoring me for months. I thought that the letter would site law and, at least, legal terms and be sent to the company's legal department. The letter was ignored by the company. I asked Ms. Snodgrass for a refund since I was so disappointed in her work product, but was denied. She said that I approved the letter before it was sent and I did, but I was so worn out on this (which is, again, why I hired an attorney), that I thought the lawyer would know best and agreed for her to send it. Ms. Snodgrass had also informed me that she was going to serve the company's "agent", which she did not do and I was not aware of that when I approved the letter. After telling this story to another lawyer, he told me about this website and to write a review here and on yelp.

I am truly sorry that you were disappointed with the services I provided. I strive very hard to meet the needs and requests of my clients, and also to ensure that I advise them of their options and potential results - including the potential that they may not receive the result they desire. As you correctly stated, when writing demand letters, I always provide the letter to my client for their feedback and input to ensure the product is acceptable prior to delivery. And, it is true that these letters regularly reflect the narrative given to me by my client, as I am telling my client's story to the defendant to encourage them to settle the matter favorably. Often, defendant's do not respond, which requires further legal action in order to obtain a result. Some clients choose to take such action, and others choose not to. Litigation is a very personal process. The majority of people that come to me have reached the end of their ability to deal with a situation, and often stressed. I try to help them resolve their legal matter to alleviate some of that stress to the best of my abilities. I am sorry I was unable to accomplish that for you.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
