Poor attorney. Rude to clients but afraid of court

I had a similar experience with Kevin Massaro. he is rude if you dont agree with him and wanted to force a settlement that was crazy since he was afraid of court. I disagreed an she yelled at me. In court , he was unprepared and seemed more concerned about being liked than helping me . He was diffi...cult to reach and was often gone from office and did not seem to work hard at least in my case. I fired him and my new attorney said kevin had a reputation and did not know why he hadnt been fired from the firm. My new attorney understood the case and planned a good strategy which kevin never did. The case ultimately settled for much better than Kevin would have and I was not yelled at by my new attorney. He should not be allowed to be rude to clients but he runs amok and nobody reigns him in.

Unprofessional and only concerned with getting paid

If you are considering hiring the Harris Law Firm or more specifically, Kevin Massaro, to handle your case, RUN!!!! You will not be represented and you will pay a fortune for the "privilege". Initially Kevin sounded like he really understood my situation and how to deal with my bullying, narcis...sistic, vindictive ex-husband who insists upon taking me to court when he fails to follow the court order. However, after weeks of working with Kevin, I would describe him as an opportunistic bully, condescending, unethical, incompetent, and extremely expensive. Dealing with him was even more painful and stressful than my actual court case. The long and the short of his gross negligence is that he refused to make a phone call that could have gotten this frivolous and ridiculous case thrown out of court AND he lied and said that we needed to go to court because the ball was in motion. He showed up to court painfully unprepared and attempted to distract everyone by flirting with opposing counsel and kidding around about the last case he and opposing counsel had litigated together. The magistrate asked more questions and learned more about the previous case than she did about mine. When given the opportunity to discuss the merits of my case, Kevin he said NOTHING. When she stated that she was going to make me pay my ex's attorney fees I spoke up and began to do Kevin's job. Kevin told me to "Shut Up!", loud enough for all to hear...then he proceeded to WATCH and say nothing as my case completely unraveled. This train-wreck cost me in excess of $12,000.00,,,he got paid for doing NOTHING!! Within 72 hours I fired him and hired another attorney. In the end, the new attorney called the court, The case was thrown out, with one simple phone call. I am sharing all of this to let you know that if any of the above sounds remotely familiar, this is not in your head, it is really happening, and it isn't going to get better!!! By nature I am an optimistic person and I have never posted a review, much less a negative one. I find Kevin's gross negligence & Richard Harris' subsequent willingness to look the other way so egregious that I simply could not sit still any longer. By speaking out I hope this will save someone the heartache, stress, and financial burden that I had to endure!! I would never recommend Kevin Massaro or the Harris Law Firm to anyone

Retired Military Officer with Favorable Pension Outcome

As a retired military officer and senior federal government employee in a unique position which warranted strict confidentially & sensitivity to my position’s demands; I had unique requirements for the attorney I selected to represent me; specifically I needed an attorney with a track record of succe...ss with military pensions, and an attorney who has spent a lot of time in the courthouse. Basically someone who understands how the system works, has seasoned experience with particular judges and their viewpoints, and most important an attorney who possessed a record of success in negotiations with favorable outcomes. In summary, Kevin and his legal staff were very successful in all my legal needs; while at the same time being very understanding of my personal needs, especially during the height of my roller coaster ride of emotions. In close, if you desire a favorable outcome you need Kevin & his team in your corner.

Do not use

Do not use him at all. Racked up bills like crazy even after I requested him to stop working on my case. I had over a 8000 dollar bill and nothing even was done. Would not truthfully tell me what was happening on the other side of the case. Tried to give me relationship advice and treated me as a... child though I am 30 years old. Yelled at me and hung up the phone on me. Whatever you do use someone else.

Dameged my case

Mr. Massaro seamed good in the initial consultation however when it came time to actually represent me he dropped the ball and ultimately damaged my case. He was not prepared and openly and in front of the judge and the opposing counsel criticized me very harshly. My opponent later said that what he ...did was inappropriate. Later he yelled at me for letting him be "surprised" in front of the judge, I told him on several occasions all the details both verbally and in writing. He even told me what I would agree to which in the end was exactly the opposite reason I hired him in the first place. He is not worth the money and not worth your time. His law firm The Harris Law Firm supposedly had a "good" reputation but they to seamed very sketchy to me. He did more damage to my case than good, actually he did not do any good. He lied in telling me that he knew both the opposing counsel and the judge very well, when we got into court neither of them recognized him, he had to explain at length to the opposing counsel how they knew each other and the judge had never even heard of him. His responses to me were short, vague and meaningless.
