Biography
I have devoted my career to protecting people’s legal rights. There is an unfortunate trend that those who have the most to lose in our legal system are often the ones least likely to have the benefit of professional legal assistance.
I started the McKenzie Law Firm to provide legal solutions to people who want a secure plan for their financial future, but who feel as though professional legal advice may still be beyond their reach. I specialize in estate planning and advising people on small business issues. As a father of four and a business owner, I know that time and money are often in short supply. I also know how overwhelming it can seem to properly address all the responsibilities you have in your day-to-day life. As a lawyer, however, I also know what can be lost if things are not handled correctly. I am here to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Prior to starting the McKenzie Law Firm, I spent a decade working as a trial lawyer, helping individuals recover compensation for harm done to them by the fraud, carelessness, and failure of businesses and government agencies to live up to their legal obligations and responsibilities. In that role, I engaged in all types of litigation, including class actions, mass torts, and complicated commercial cases. I am licensed in Colorado and Illinois, and have handled cases in state and federal courts around the country.
