Mr. Eric Amat Y Leon

I was looking for a Law Firm in Colorado. I found Mr. Eric Amat Y Leon on the internet. From our first contact till the very end of my spousal support Trial he has been wonderful. He got our work together done in a timely and professional manner, I was always treated with the highest respect. He is... a very good listener and as made me feel comfortable. He is very smart and he knows his work well. I can highly recommend Eric.

Incredible knowledgeable, detail orientated, dedicated professional

I interviewed a number of attorneys in the Colorado Springs area. My choice was Stephanie Randall of Burnham Law. She was the only one to sit down and tell me what was realistically possible and what was not. She was honest and straightforward with me, from the start and all the way through to t...he end. Also, I came to understand that Burnham law embodies the “team” approach. When it was debatable, Stephanie reached out to another attorney in the firm to discuss what we “can” and what we “can’t” do. When my (then) husband was threatening to come into the house over my objections, and Stephanie was tied up in court, another attorney in the firm Mary Nathan, jumped in. She went through the emails, assessed that I was in fact being threatened and immediately moved to help me get a Protection Order. When I had intricate questions about the military retirement and SBP details that would apply to my situation, Eric Amat y Leon, the Burnham attorney considered one of the top experts in the State, reached out to me to answer any and all questions I had. After haggling out this divorce for 13 months, I got to know the people at Burnham Law pretty well. They are incredible professionals, from the top to the bottom. They are dedicated, realistic, caring people who will do what needs to be done. They won’t make you pie-in-the-sky promises they can’t keep. They are realistic in their expectations, and make sure that you know what to expect and what can and cannot be done. They also kept my expenses in mind. More than a few times they asked me how badly I wanted to fight for something. I was reminded that what I wanted could potentially cost more to get than it was worth. During a divorce it gets easy to get caught up in the fighting. It’s helpful to have someone who will remind you that the expense of getting what you “want” or getting the “win” may cost more money than the value of what you’re fighting over. It a time of crisis, when your whole world is at stake, that is exactly what I want in my counsel. I want someone who is going to tell me what can and cannot be done, what to expect and to set reasonable outcome ideals for me. I know without a doubt that hiring Burnham Law was the best decision I could have made.

Experience Matters.

Eric has helped myself and my family through a very stressful and challenge time of our lives. When it comes to an APR, experience really does matter. Eric's many years of experience has been a key to myself feeling very comfortable through the good times, the bad times, and the highs/lows that inevi...tably come associated with a family law case. Eric knows the laws very thoroughly and his experience shined above and beyond the level of opposing counsel. There is always a fear of accessibility when hiring a lawyer at a big firm, but Eric has been easy to communicate with, and kept me in the loop at every step of the way. If anyone is experiencing a difficult or challenging family law case, they should not hesitate to work with Eric.
