I found Laura through a friend who is a lawyer - this is to say my friend is very honest and had my best interest at heart. I cannot state this enough - Laura is the best lawyer I have ever come across and she changed my life. Briefly, I was fired for pursuing fertility treatment and ultimately, ...getting pregnant. I was devastated - pregnant, without income, without health insurance, etc… Laura was very quick to explain all the different ways my firing was illegal. She coached me (an emotional, not always rational, mess) through what would happen at each step of the process and when it wears going to happen. She let me know things would take a while and how to best prepare. She gave me all my options and let me decide what was best for my family. She spent HOURS combing through a years worth of documentation including calls, emails, and handwritten notes. Most of all - she was Omsk patient with me, compassionate, kind, and understanding. Finally, when my former employer was being difficult just for the sake of driving up my bills with her, Laura worked it out in a way that protected me from their attempts to financially ruin me. I recommend her whenever possible and I mean this genuinely - working with Laura allowed me to enjoy my pregnancy and the birth of my first child in a way that would not have been possible without her support, long hours, and determination to get me what I was owed and force the company to face the consequences of their actions.

Where to start. I had such an amazing experience with Laura all around, and was just wired the backpay owed for me for 2 years by my former employer, within just a couple weeks of Laura getting involved where I'd previously had no success. I was referred to Laura by a colleague of my father who al...so practices employment law but in a different state. I was owed backpay by a previous employer who had stopped replying to my follow-ups on the matter for dating 2 years back. I had been trying to avoid paying legal fees, but after no luck I got in touch with Laura as the statute of limitations on the matter was coming up. I also consulted another attorney on the same matter. It was clear from the two conversations that Laura was incredibly knowledgeable about the law in ways that the other attorney was not. She mentioned recent updates to the law that could apply favorably in my case and how the way we would get a result was by leveraging those new laws in our communication with my former employer and other directors of the company. Despite having a slightly higher hourly rate, we decided to go with Laura based on this, and my wife and I are so glad we did. Within around 2 weeks of taking my case, Laura was able to convince my former employer to make good on 100% of the backpay owed. Throughout this period she was extremely diligent about updating me on the status of her actions, whether she had received replies, and what our next steps should be. Her follow-up with me was so timely and organized. She also was very sensitive about how much she was billing me, so for instance, she suggested I could personally mail certain documents to save money, but offered to do so herself if I preferred that. In this regard, she was such a professional throughout the entire engagement. In the end, we got all of the backpay plus a penalty sent to us voluntarily by the employer.
