Very responsive, efficient, and effective

Laura was a pleasure to work with and handled my employment case perfectly from the start. She was very responsive and adapted her legal strategy to suit the challenges at hand. Laura guided me through a difficult negotiation process and we came out with success! Laura was reasonably priced and helpe...d me understand her fees and explained everything from the start. I am very grateful for Laura's time, energy, and dedication to my case. Thank you!

Laura changed my life.

I found Laura through a friend who is a lawyer - this is to say my friend is very honest and had my best interest at heart. I cannot state this enough - Laura is the best lawyer I have ever come across and she changed my life. Briefly, I was fired for pursuing fertility treatment and ultimately, ...getting pregnant. I was devastated - pregnant, without income, without health insurance, etc… Laura was very quick to explain all the different ways my firing was illegal. She coached me (an emotional, not always rational, mess) through what would happen at each step of the process and when it wears going to happen. She let me know things would take a while and how to best prepare. She gave me all my options and let me decide what was best for my family. She spent HOURS combing through a years worth of documentation including calls, emails, and handwritten notes. Most of all - she was Omsk patient with me, compassionate, kind, and understanding. Finally, when my former employer was being difficult just for the sake of driving up my bills with her, Laura worked it out in a way that protected me from their attempts to financially ruin me. I recommend her whenever possible and I mean this genuinely - working with Laura allowed me to enjoy my pregnancy and the birth of my first child in a way that would not have been possible without her support, long hours, and determination to get me what I was owed and force the company to face the consequences of their actions.

Ineffective Assistance of Counsel

When white people have a savior mentality and allege to help a person of color pro bono, you end up with what I received, Laura putting me, my daughter, and our wellbeing in further peril as all Laura did was send a couple emails and have a conversation with her buddies in DHA. Never once did she fig...ht for me, never once asked for everything I had been asking for. And when I called her on it, she went into microaggressions saying that we are not seeing "eye to eye" based on the results of the one verbal conversation she had representing me at a hearing. I have never known a case that took one hearing and one voice conversation to ensure everyone is eye to eye, especially considering the outcomes after the hearing. She wasted a week of our lives so she could feel good about herself doing [sic] pro bono work for people of color. White privilege on display at it's worse. We need really allies who fight with and beside us, not people like Laura Wolf,.

Sorry you need a lawyer... but If you do-- Laura Wolf.

I was referred to Laura Wolf by several attorneys in Colorado- which is always a good sign. When I was laid off from my job and offered a severance package, I hired Ms. Wolf to consult with me on the grounds by which I was terminated (gender discrimination) and to review the Severance Agreement provi...ded to determine if I had a case. Ms. Wolf was incredibly thorough and candid, reviewing my Severance Agreement paragraph by paragraph with me so I understood what I might be signing, and offering me a few different options and implications of each. The conversation was incredibly authentic; and because the dialogue was very real, with potential consequences for each scenario, I felt I had thoroughly exhausted all my options and felt good with my decision not to pursue. Although I was told I would probably receive more money if we took it further, I was also informed that it may not be enough to warrant the emotional toll it could take. I did not feel any pressure to pursue, just very solid and trustworthy guidance, which was much needed in a stressful financial and emotional situation. The consult fee was well worth the peace of mind to no longer worry and waffle over the scenarios I kept running in my head. I would highly recommend Ms. Wolf's pragmatic and honest approach to any legal situation.

Very practical advice with our best interest in mind!

Laura offered helpful, practical advice in a way that was easy to understand. She was very clear and transparent about her pricing options and offered us a way to avoid legal costs and recoup the wages we were owed from our previous employer. I would recommend her to anyone who finds themselves in a ...difficult situation with an employer.
