Gina Beth Weitzenkorn

Gina Weitzenkorn was assigned as the CFI in my custody dispute 3 and a half years ago. Leading up to my court action with my ex, I knew it was going to be a lot of “he said, she said” so I documented our communications for months. My ex denies her own actions and falsely accuses others, but I figured... having everything in writing would differentiate between who was lying and who was telling the truth. In nice terms, my ex has what some call a high conflict personality. In my documentation I tried to make the dynamic and behavioral patterns as clear as possible for the evaluator. I put contradictory statements from my ex side by side to show how she lied and changed her stories. I included records of my ex withholding or threatening to withhold my daughter from me if I didn’t do what she wanted (favors, or giving her stuff or money, etc). There were pages of harassing messages and repeated harassing calls (up to 100+ unwanted calls in a day) from my ex. Gina seemingly did almost no work on our case for the first couple months until she was pressed for the report. When she issued the report it was like a high schooler’s last minute effort to turn in an assignment to not get an F. She got minor factual information like names and dates wrong, made superficial opinion remarks that I didn’t think could even be part of a court report, and fueled my ex’s distorted narrative (which was contradicted by stacks of documentation). At the time I wondered if I was being retaliated against for giving Gina too much stuff to read. Along with the communication records, my friends’ and family’s character witness statements were ignored. My ex’s false accusations were portrayed as facts in the report, with no documentation to back them up, and no fact checking done. Example: my ex claimed I threatened to have her deported, which is completely false. There’s nothing to back that claim up, but Gina wrote “Father threatened to have Mother deported.” She never asked me if that was true, she just took my ex’s lie at face value and put it in the report. Gina’s report made me out to be the villain for reporting my ex for busting into my apartment without permission and attacking me while I was holding our infant daughter on my hip. The fact that I reported that incident put an end to a pattern of negative behavior and saved my daughter from witnessing more domestic violence. In criminal court my ex took a plea deal for DV Harassment with two years of probation with DV classes and parenting classes; but Gina basically excused my ex’s behavior and accused me of reporting the incident to gain an advantage in the domestic case. From what I can tell, she didn’t review the evidence from the criminal case and just based her opinion on what we both said about the incident. Apparently she liked my ex’s victim sob story better. Unfortunately, my ex and her family law attorney took Gina’s opinion and ran with it, and have been trying to use it against me in their motions ever since. Gina did my family a great disservice with her sloppy, biased, conjecture-based CFI report. Had we gotten a diligent and discerning CFI, I believe I would’ve had more support from the court in protecting my daughter from my ex’s parental conflict from the start. Gina should not be called an Investigator. If there were more accountability and follow up built into the family court system, I don’t think Gina would still be a CFI. In the best case scenario, Gina is just very negligent in her CFI work. If your family’s future is on the line, I advise you not to agree to have Gina as a CFI in your case. She definitely did more harm than good in mine.

Gina was assigned to our case by the court. To sum up what happened, she did as little work as possible, ignored calls and emails, and even based her report off of her opinion from the stories she heard from my ex instead of doing her job. She ignored emotional and physical abuse that the kids showed... and instead said it was normal kid behavior that caused their constant bruises, scratches, black eyes, busted lips, etc. Everything in the report that made me sound like the "bad parent" she tried to portray me as could be disproved by simply looking at the parent records, police reports, recordings, texts, and anything else she should have taken the time to look over. Although she admitted in court this was all her opinion and it was not taken into account for our case, the issues it's caused outside of court are worse than ever before. Her lack of effort in doing her job affects people and children's lives. If you have a choice, don't go with her.

This woman is evil. She was appointed to do a report for our parenting time hearing. I was warned ahead of time by my attorney that she could be biased against me, due to the fact that my attorney had called her out for poor and unethical work in front of a judge at a hearing before mine. She was emb...arrassed and reprimanded by the judge. Naively, I assumed she would not put her own agenda over the well being of a child. I was wrong. I home schooled my daughter at the time (which her dad had agreed to), but Gina was obviously anti home school. She accused me of being negligent in homeschooling. I had my daughter tested and proved Gina wrong (my daughter was in the middle of 8th grade, she tested at high school and college level in every subject) , which made Gina mad. She dug in her heels and became vindictive. She completely lied, in her report and under oath, about my adult daughter's testimony, and my ex said he agreed with Gina. Obviously, that did severe damage to the relationship between my ex and our adult daughter. Gina accused me of many things that were simply false, and I had witnesses to prove otherwise. Because of her unethical behavior, she has done much damage to the relationship between my ex and our minor daughter. Damage that may never be repaired. Gina Weitzenkorn is an ethical disaster...RUN FROM HER LIKE THE WIND

Gina ignored physical and severe emotional abuse that my ex-wife did to my daughters and did not pursue allegations and facts. She took 8 months to give her feedback and did not interview our witnesses until the last minute and she almost delayed our divorce which already took over a year. I am unfor...tunately relieved to see so many other families that have had a negative experience as I thought I was just being singled out because I am male. It is my hope that someone in the family court system will evaluate her and realize that she should no longer be in this role and her license should be revoked. The result of her negligence is that my children are still being emotional abused to the point that the social worker at my younger daughter's elementary school is investigating new allegations against my ex-wife. I was the one that hired Gina because of a recommendation. I should have spent the money on a child psychologist because at least they would have tried to protect my children and would have reported abuse to the state.

Although Gina was our Parenting Coordinator and had very few responsibilities in our case, she made things worse, created a bigger divide between my Matt and I, made comments that were inappropriate to us and about us to each other, caused conflict that wasn't part of our co-parenting lives before an...d made it hard for us to make the mutual decisions we needed to for our boys. She caused such conflict that we delayed getting medical evaluations that our son could have used sooner. She even re-engaged our EX attorney's without either of our permission and billed us for her time with them; mean while they both tried to bill us for their communications with her but they had both withdrawn from our case and neither of us had agreed for them to be involved further. This made her involvement seem all about the money as she stirred the pot with everyone and billed for everything. Finally, Matt and I sat down and talked about our experience with her, concluded that she was doing a disservice to us and our family, we jointly terminated our relationship with her and since she left we have been able to co-parent better than ever. One of her primary roles was to help us move away from litigation and the expense of civil proceedings; her involvement nearly threw us back into court and could have cost thousands more. Her staff treated us unprofessionally and used language that I wouldn't even expect to hear at a ball game. I recommend staying away from her and keeping her away from your family matters!
