What does an AVVO rating mean?  And why is Amy's so low compared to other attorneys here?  Well, an AVVO rating is just that - something AVVO came up with to try and help a potential legal client find a good attorney for them.  And that is great! You need a good attorney for your case! But, the downside is that the AVVO rating does not mean much when it comes to you and your case.  Someone can get a high AVVO rating merely by filling in every aspect of their profile - making sure to hit all the right "buttons" for AVVO.  

But, because I am an attorney that never requests anything from a client, because I work for them, I do not get many client reviews.  Therefore, my AVVO rating is lower.  Also, a high AVVO rating can be made by showing all the publications and speaking engagements an attorney does.  Again however, because I am an attorney that only works for my clients, not worrying about anybody but my client, I do not do speaking engagements, or publish articles.  Therefore, my AVVO rating is lower.

So what can you expect from me?  You can expect an attorney who only cares about you.  Someone who will always call you back.  Someone who works tirelessly to get what you want and deserve.  Interested?  Read on.

Before opening Travin Law, Amy represented hundreds of individuals while working for the Colorado State Public Defender. While there, she successfully defended DUI, misdemeanor, and felony cases at trial.  Amy's passion for defending those accused of crimes, is unending by truly believing individuals are innocent until proven guilty.  She loves being in the courtroom, advocating for her clients, litigating to win their issues, and giving them someone who will fight for them.
