Work Ethics

I hired Michael Mccullough to represent my son on a very serious criminal case. Mr. Mccullough did very little to help my son, but he made sure to collect. First of all, Mccullough advised my son not to get a jury, which now we now was a big mistake because of the charge my son was facing. Then ...did not let us know about no hearing, til this day i do not know who attended, besides him. For the Trial, he did not get any kind of evidence to help my son, for example the phone records, medical records, etc. he did nothing, we had to search for the telephone records ourselves and tried to use them as evidence, but were not allowed to be used since they were not legal. Mike should have requested them from t-mobile. He avoided the medical records. At the last minute , we found a picture, showing my son’s injury on his hand, the hand that he supposedly used for the crime. He did not hire an investigator, like he said he was. Needless to say my son was found guilty, with a Judge jury, and was sentenced 4 to life. How in the world do you advise someone not to get a jury with a very serious charge. Next was the 34B. When the Judge sentenced my son, he invited my son back to court after he was diagnosed at DOC, to see if a reduction in his sentenced would be possible. Well, McCullough did not bother to get the diagnostic report from DOC, for the hearing, he made no effort, so needless to say again, my son was denied the 34B motion, and is now serving 4 to life sentence, my son was 33 when he started to serve his time. I think about Mr. McCullough work ethics constantly, and came to the conclusion that Mr. McCullough never had any intentions what so ever in working on my son’s case, all he wanted was the money.

Brilliant mind and excellent trial skills

Prior to retaining Mike McCullough, I had consulted with three other attorneys who specialize in DUI defense. Upon questioning, I learned that their trial skills are lacking, and they actively encourage clients to accept unfair plea agreements. I kept looking, and I'm glad I did! I refuse t...o accept a plea agreement because I am innocent!. Other attorneys fail to grasp this, and that's why I hired Mike. He fights because you are innocent. Other attorneys say they do, but don't risk your freedom on their lip service. Hire Mike McCullough. I really am innocent, and the whole ordeal of being wrongfully accused of DUI is terrifying. Everyone I know looks at me searchingly, as if to say, "You don't look like a drunk." I'm not! But people are so brainwashed they assume you're guilty. Thanks, overzealous activist organizations. ;-) Honestly, if the public knew how many people charged with DUI are wrongfully accused by quota-hungry LEOs and government officials eager to maximize DUI revenue, women like myself would be feel safe trusting a jury to see through the prosecution's lies. Unfortunately, jury pools are comprised of people who are biased by media propaganda, and would smugly give the lesser-included DWAI to your teetotaling Grandmother. Attorneys like Mike McCullough are heroes. Defending our Constitutional rights takes courage and conviction, and Mike has both. He stood up for me, and his strong personality blew all the prosecution's lies away. Even the jury could see I was innocent. I was acquitted of DUI.

Looking at sixteen years in prison. CASE DISMISSED

I hired Mike because my first attorney wanted me to plead guilty to a felony. I could not do it even though I was looking at sixteen years in prison. After speaking with Mike, we came to the conclusion that the best thing to do was proceed to trial. We set the case for trial and Mike spent hours p...reparing the case and preparing me to testify. We were ready. The day before trial, Mike got the case dismissed. He never gave up on me or the case. Thxs so much Mike

Michael A. McCullough

My Name is Casey I am having Michael From the McCullough Group Help me on a case that I have out of Adams county I think that he is a very smart and trustworthy attorney. He always calls me to let me know where the caes is going and what we are going to do and is not letting people " DA" walk all ov...er me. I think that he is a great attorney and that he knows what he is doing and I also like the fact that even with plea deals that are no good he is still doing what he can and he is not having me take the plea and is willing to take it as far as he can to get this resolved.

Relationship: Co-worker

"I absolutely endorse this lawyer. I've worked with Mr. McCullough on numerous cases over the past 15 years. I have given him some of my firm's toughest cases and watched him win. On occasion, some people can find Mr. McCullough obnoxious. If you looking for an attorney who will win a personality contest, don't hire him. If you are in trouble and need an attorney who knows how to win a tough case, Mr. McCullough is one of the finest trial attorneys in Denver - especially in front of a jury. Mr. McCullough is both passionate and persuasive. If you want an attorney who is going to fight for your rights, Mr. McCullough fits that bill. Mr. McCullough's clients get 100 cents worth of every dollar they may spend on his services."

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2012.

Suspension Stayed Placed on Probation issued in CO, 2012

updated on 03/28/2017

Suspension stayed means the attorney has been disciplined, but that the suspension is placed on hold (and ultimately removed) if the attorney complies with probation requirements.

Michael’s comment:

“This discipline resulted from a former client requesting $2500 back a year after my involvement in the case ended. I offered him $2000, he wanted it all back - because I didnt give it all back, I recieved this grievance.”
