Paula Louise Thomas

I hired Paula around seven years ago. I have re-hired her regularly since then because she is phenomenal. She knows Texas Family Law like the back of her hand. Paula guided me through my legal issues, and I trusted her advice. I wholeheartedly believe she is the reason my family is intact. I hired Paula to make changes to a court document. She told me that she could make the changes for a flat fee of $900. After almost three months and little communication, I received the new document. None of the changes that we agreed on had been made. I tried to call several times and I was always t...old that someone would call me back. I waited weeks without a callback. In the end she submitted the unchanged document to the court, without my signature or permission. She told me that there is nothing I can do about it. She told me to stop calling her and her staff. If I want any changes, then I will need to pay an additional $1,500. She also stated that, she would bill me extra for any phone calls to her or her staff to discuss the changes. Paula was recommended to me by a friend and I am now going to have to hire another attorney. I do not recommend her to anyone. I don’t know if she is just overwhelmed right now or if she always provides bad service, but her and her staff are completely incompetent.

Hired her and it was like she was working for my ex more than she was me. I got her everything she asked for and every visit it was like there was just “one more piece she needed.” The amount of money I spent towards her was ridiculous for the quality of work I got.
