Paula Louise Thomas

Paula Thomas is a danger to the families of El Paso. She will sign a contract and take payment with no intention of representing her clients. She has called me when she thinks she is calling the other party (who she does not represent) and show her deceitful side. She is uninterested in the facts of... a case and is fighting a personal vendetta. When she gets caught in lies, she runs and becomes really awful. Stay away from this woman. She will say something to your face and pretend she is representing you and then sabotage you behind your back because she has a mess of a personal life that she’s litigating through her clients lives. Stay away from this mental health mess.

At first, she seems very caring; empathic. But she doesn't do a thing; makes everything seems like it's so huge to tackle. Asked me for documents and had me running around bringing her papers and didn't do anything with them. She was just buying time. I have a relative who works for the IRS who t...old me just about everything I needed to know about my divorce in one sitting. Paula was going to spoon feed me the exact information after spending hundreds of dollars and time on her. She is not direct and to the point. Issues that could have been settled efficiently and promptly were just left on the back burner for me to investigate and find out on my own. Please do yourself a huge FAVOR and DON'T HIRE THIS LAWYER! Save yourself time and money. Get someone competent and hardworking. Find someone who will work on your case in a reasonable manner and amount of time and not drag it on forever just to milk more money out of you. Paula's staff was constantly changing; seems like she can't keep people working for her....personnel turnover in her office is terrible! Every few months, there was a totally new staff on the payroll. Unbelievable. Incompetent lawyer; I left frustrated...just about ran out the door. Heed my warning, please!

I absolutely do not recommend this lawyer. She is inefficient in communicating or expediting any court documents. When I initially consulted her, she assured me an extremely positive result. My divorce was a simple one as minimal property was involved. She refused to settle my divorce even though... it was what I wanted. She pretended to be caring and concerned about my situation but her actions proved otherwise. In hind sight, I realize she used stalling tactics in order to be able to bill me for additional hours. I was never allowed to speak with her when I contacted the office but was still charged for all those calls. I terminated her "so called" services and hired an efficient lawyer. Do not assume a lawyer is competent just because their hourly fee is higher than the rest.
