Ms. Kimbrough is a smart, savvy attorney who is also exceptionally diligent, organized and conscientious. For an incredibly thorny family law case, one that involved issues of finances and custody, preparing for a jury trial and finally hammering out a satisfactory settlement, Ms. Kimbrough provided ...excellent, knowledgeable, professional service. The best example would be that, on a moment's notice for a hearing, she not only grasped complexities of my self-employment income in a matter of minutes but adroitly communicated the information in a courtroom, presenting the material to tough judge quickly and lucidly. The judge ruled in my favor on the child support issue -- which was the correct judgment -- and that will save me thousands of dollars. (Anytime a lawyer is saving you money, you've got a good lawyer!) Finally, Ms. Kimbrough is a pleasure to work with and very supportive. That's a rare yet important talent: when you're in the middle of stressful and emotional litigation, it's wonderful to have both an advocate but an ally. I can commend Ms. Kimbrough wholeheartedly and without reservation.

I cannot recommend Kimbrough Legal for a child support enforcement case. I hired the firm in October 2024 after the District Attorney had already served my ex, specifically to enforce child support. I was clear from the beginning that this would be a contested matter and provided extensive documen...tation and financial records to support what was owed. On the day of the hearing, my attorney appeared unprepared and without necessary court documents, and the judge reprimanded her for it. She struggled throughout the hearing and did not effectively present my case. After a hearing lasting three hours, the judge did not award the full amount sought. Shortly thereafter, the attorney assigned to my case was no longer with the firm and did not appear at my settlement hearing. I paid over $15,000 in legal fees. I later submitted a detailed written breakdown of my experience to the firm and was told leadership would follow up, but no one ever did. Losing a case is one thing. Paying for representation that was not delivered as expected, and receiving no accountability afterward, is another.

I chose Kimbrough based upon a recommendation from another lawyer and her reviews. Well, I can say with utter certainty that the reviews and that lawyer are completely wrong or there is some other bias that led to her to take my money and then disappear. Regardless, she did dot prepare herself or mys...elf for the case in a professional and informed manner. She never actually counseled me about the charges, the case, or the consequences of a ruling that she conveniently walked away from. When I am in a position to legally respond to her gross incompetence, I will be doing so. I immediately had to hire a law firm to clean up the mess she created as a result of her indifference, ignorance, and lack of empathy. He consistent legal rhetorical device was "I understand", which could not be further from the truth on any level. Except if it pertains to running your card in order for her to get paid. She was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. The only thing she did right was recognize she needed to give me $2500 of the $5000 back. Other than that, borderline malpractice.
