I live in Houston and was the defendant in a case filed in Travis county. I needed an attorney in Austin to represent me for what I expected to be a simple Motion to Transfer the case to Harris county. I found Ben online after reading a couple reviews. When I called Ben, I was fortunate that he ha...d just had a cancellation for the next day, so he agreed to take my case less than 24 hours prior to the hearing. He asked all the right questions and quickly got up to speed on the facts of the case. Not only did he prepare for the Motion to Transfer, but he made sure he was ready to argue the plaintiffs Motion to Enforce, just in case the judge decided to keep the case in Travis county. That turned out to be a great decision because the judge allowed arguments and testimony for both motions before ruling on either. Ben handled himself very well in the hearing and aggressively argued my position. He is a very quick thinker and he reacted decisively and appropriately to unexpected situations. Ben did a great job for me and the judge granted my Motion to Transfer. Now I'm thinking maybe I should have kept the case in Travis county so I could keep Ben on as my attorney! I'm not happy about being sued and needing an attorney, but I'm very happy I found Ben Carrasco. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Ben.

Having an opportunity to get modifications in regards to child custody is a huge challenge for a father, especially in Texas. Ben exceeded expectations and was able to get my ex-wife to compromise what was best for our son. After using another attorney who failed to fully represent me, I searched f...or a great attorney who would fight for me. I spoke with at least twenty to thirty different personal attorneys during the search. Ben stood out as someone who was honest, straight forward, and would be committed. After hiring him and he took on the case, I felt very comfortable that he was ahead of the game. He quickly began taking steps to get the scales balanced. Ben filed the documents with the specificity I requested and followed up consistently. After getting the judge to agree to extend the hearing date, Ben scheduled a deposition and took to the necessary steps to prepare for the hearing. During the deposition with my ex-wife, he was assertive, professional, and was able to get her to give information that could be used in court. Between the deposition and the scheduled hearing, Ben followed up with any requests and was aggressive when he needed to be. My major concerns were to have my son back in school (no longer home schooled by his mother), being involved in his educational planning, spending more time with him, and having geographical restrictions. All of this was accomplished and Ben always made me feel like we had the upper hand during the case. One of the best things about him, is he is truly honest and will not just tell you what you want to hear. He literally told me multiple times, "you're going to spend more money that way," when it came to some of my impulse ideas. How many attorneys are going to try to save you money? My ex-wife has been one of the toughest people to deal with when it came to child custody, but I truly can relax now and that's because of a great lawyer who made it happen. If you want someone who will support you and get it done, Ben is the guy!

When I saw that my marriage was unsalvageable, I went online to find an attorney. I studied a number of websites, but I really liked what I read on Ben Carrasco's webpage for a number of reasons--his distinguished academic background, impressive work history and other clients' reviews to be sure--b...ut mainly, I liked his straightforward explanation of how he does business. After he began representing me, what came to impress me most is Ben's work ethic. He worked hard on my case, frequently contacting me at night and on weekends to get my input, clarify facts and ensure he was accurately representing my expectations. When a foolish act on my part complicated what should have been a simple divorce, Ben took that in stride and worked even harder to help get my mess untangled. On his website, Ben talks about lawyers who are afraid of the courtroom, and he tells you he is not one of them. Believe him. He represented me in an unusual dual hearing, simultaneously taking on a county attorney for one hearing and my spouse's divorce attorney for another. The extent of his preparation in comparison to that of the opposing attorneys was obvious. Ben did a better job of getting ready for the hearings, and because he was ready, he did a superior job of presenting my side of the story logically, clearly and when necessary, forcefully. As a result, the judge's ruling clearly favored my position. Ben was always up front with me. If I suggested a course of action that made sense to me but was not necessarily a brilliant move from a legal point of view, he let me know, sometimes bluntly, but always with my best interests in mind. What I learned from my experience is that the legal system speaks a different language. What seemed fair or just or obvious from my point of view was not always what the legal system has determined to be fair or just or obvious. In other words, if you're compelled to use the legal system, you need someone who speaks the language. You need a smart, hardworking, legal-fluent advocate who will ably translate your needs and expectations into the language of the system and who will clearly explain what the system is telling you. Ben Carrasco did just that for me. I'm glad I asked him to represent me, and I feel fortunate that he agreed to take my case.
