Ms. McMahan completely failed to defend me properly according the the black and white letter of the law. The Texas Transportation Code Section 545.352 speaks to Prima Facie Speed Limits. Prima Facie means "sufficient to establish a fact or case unless disproved". The term speeding in the code means t...hat you are traveling in an unreasonable and imprudent manner under the circumstances then existing. It's up to the court to prove you were unreasonable and imprudent. The strict criteria in the law is that you must cause a collision to be considered unreasonable and imprudent. Hence, simply because you are driving 75 mph in a 60 mph zone you are not speeding under the black and white letter of Texas law unless you cause a collision because of driving above those speeds posted on the speed limit sign. Which by the way...what is the purpose of a speed sign in Texas? Section 201.904 of the Texas Transportation Code indicates clearly that they apply to "commercial motor vehicles, truck tractors, truck trailers, truck semitrailers and motor vehicles engaged in the business of transporting passengers for compensation or hire (buses).". I was not driving one of those. I was not involved in a collision and I was not driving a vehicle for hire. There was no witness in court to testify that I caused a collision. My type of vehicle was clearly documented on the ticket. I should not have had to pay any court fees or pay for defensive driving at all. My ticket was not dismissed as promised. We are very disappointed and this is by far the BIGGEST SCAM going on in the State of Texas.

I was referred by “Off The Record” for a flat fee of $210 for a speeding ticket. Then their office manager Melissa responded with a lengthy paragraph about how they’ll need to charge me $460 upfront, making excuses, and stating they don’t honor OTR’s guarantee policy. This isn’t my 1st rodeo. I’ve hi...red traffic attorneys off of bill boards after getting cited on the interstate for speeding and they usually honor their flat fee. This firm does not. They shouldn’t be utilizing a referral service like OTR if they’re not going to abide by its format. Flat rate and guarantee. Also she hung up on me. Unprofessional.

I had worse experience with this lawyer. I paid $204 for nothing, I could of just paid off my spending ticket with out her help for the same price. She didn't give me any documents for the curt. I had all the chances to win this case, but she didn't do any thing for that. Now she dosen't answer her p...hone because I have a lot of questions to her, al she said in the email that I lost the case and I have 5 Deferral Offers of - pay deferral fee/court cost of $204.10 and a bunch of distant stuff. I don't recumbent this place it waist of time and money. they don't help any thing

I had the worst experience ever with Melissa and Kelly Mcmahan from the McMahan law office, She was unhelpful , and I ended up losing the case because of her incompetence. I had the same results before hiring her which is teen’s court and community service hours ! So She basically did nothing and o...nly stretched the time of the case. we lost the case that was a sure win case; where my son was accused of running the bus stop sign by a racist cop. there was a witness and a video proving his innocence as the video did not show my son running the bus but she told me the video does not prove or disprove anything and caused us to lose the case. I had hired her in the first place to prove my sons innocence and yet we lost the case due to her extreme incompetence. I would never recommend her to anyone unless you want to waste you money and time.
