Didn't know the law well enough to defend me properly
Ms. McMahan completely failed to defend me properly according the the black and white letter of the law. The Texas Transportation Code Section 545.352 speaks to Prima Facie Speed Limits. Prima Facie means "sufficient to establish a fact or case unless disproved". The term speeding in the code means t...
Makenna, Based on our notes and records, you were charged with two offenses. We discussed probable outcomes before we even accepted you as a client, and ended up working out exactly what we thought we would. We discussed the offer from the prosecutor with you before we accepted it and you agreed to it. I'm confused by your interpretation of what happened. Please contact my office so we can discuss this further.

Hidden Fees
I was referred by “Off The Record” for a flat fee of $210 for a speeding ticket. Then their office manager Melissa responded with a lengthy paragraph about how they’ll need to charge me $460 upfront, making excuses, and stating they don’t honor OTR’s guarantee policy. This isn’t my 1st rodeo. I’ve hi...

I had worse experience with this lawyer. I paid $204 for nothing, I could of just paid off my spending ticket with out her help for the same price. She didn't give me any documents for the curt. I had all the chances to win this case, but she didn't do any thing for that. Now she dosen't answer her p...

I wish I could give zero stars or negative stars
I had the worst experience ever with Melissa and Kelly Mcmahan from the McMahan law office, She was unhelpful , and I ended up losing the case because of her incompetence. I had the same results before hiring her which is teen’s court and community service hours ! So She basically did nothing and o...

"I endorse this lawyer."
"Kelly has handled numerous Class C misdemeanors throughout central Texas. Her fierce advocacy and sharp intellect have made her a force to be reckoned with. Kelly is an excellent attorney. I happily endorse this lawyer."
"I heartily endorse this lawyer. I am a criminal lawyer in Massachusetts. I had a client who could not renew his Massachusetts drivers license because the State of Texas was claiming that he had numerous violations in Texas. My client had never been in Texas. Dealing with the Texas DMV and the local sheriff in Austin became very difficult. I referred the case to Attorney McMahan. She had all the right contacts in the Texas DMV and in the Sheriff's Office. Within a few days she got the entire mess untangled and got the Texas Sheriff to issue a "not me" letter. That is a letter that the client was able to take to the DMV in Massachusetts and get his license renewed. Kelly is a bright, fast working lawyer who knows the people at the Texas DMV."
"Ms. McMahan does an excellent job representing her clients in the Austin Municipal Court. As a former prosecutor, I always felt that Ms. McMahan worked diligently on behalf of her clients. Many attorneys do not put in substantial effort when representing clients for class-C misdemeanors. However, Ms. McMahan always goes the extra mile to ensure that her clients get the best resolution possible."
