My son is a paranoid schizophrenic and was in crisis when he got arrested. Of course, instead of taking him to the mental health facility we have in Austin, they took him directly to jail. He was assigned Jill Gately as his attorney and she was terrific. She reached out right away and was able to ...get him bonded very quickly, and has already gotten his case dismissed. My husband and I are forever grateful to her. We have had similar experiences and it was never so expedient to get him out of jail.

A court appointed attorney with no representation. I had looked forward to hearing from Ms. Gately however after a couple of phone calls and her just pushing my case out another year is not helpful to me at all. I was pulled over late one night on Route 3 driving home from school and I was cited for speeding. I was in the fast lane and had thought there was a drunk driver behind me so I sped up to avoid an accident. When the traffic to the right of me cleared, I moved over and the person whom I thought was a... drunk driver, ended up being a cop that sped past me. I then immediately saw blue lights behind me. I was basically tag teamed by two officers and the officer that pulled me over wrote incorrect statements on the citation. He claimed he had followed me for 2 miles, but he was never behind me until I moved over (the other cop was behind me and never turned on his lights). And he claimed I was going 75-80mph in a 55mph but cited me for 60mph. This was my first offense so I wasn't sure about how to handle this kind of situation and how to go about fighting the ticket.
