Laziest Rat of a Lawyer!

In 2008, I had already caught a case it was on probation. I was working as an escort on Craigslist when Mr Walter Prentice contacted me and told me he was wanting to Trade Services. I knew that I was violated on my probation because of non-payment of Child Support. So I allowed mr. Prentice to come o...ver and speak to me about this. I explained to him that I had cases that were criminal and civil to deal with. He said he could deal with both. He has done some of what he said he would do I did everything I said I would do. Mr Prentice is totally left me hanging on this case currently going on. I turned myself in on it in January 2019 because I had some time left on it. From my understanding it was a matter of about 12 days. I sat in that jail for a month because neither Mr Prentice nor the jail let the Attorney General's office know that I was in jail. My 76 year old mother had to call and call and call until she got hold of somebody and found somebody who could speak to her on the phone and then they had me in court the next day. Mr Prentice was not there. I explained to the judge that I had done time the year before and from my understanding six months was the max that you could get after your kids turn 18. I asked the judge to run my sentence concurrent and she did and release me that day. Mr Prentice did show up to court after that on my oldest son's case. After that was handled there was one more case and he showed up for that one too. They reset it and I lost the paperwork. I am currently homeless and don't have access to any storage facility or anything like that. I have lost most of what I have. I asked Mr Prentice many times in emails about my court date and he could not answer my question. He implied that it was different because he was talking to the Attorney General's office waiting for them to call him back. Now I have another arrest warrant out for me. He is lazy doesn't do anything. He is impossible to reach. If you retain this man you will regret it.

Prentice Law

Walter is an excellent attorney. My wife and I have hired Walter for two different legal matters, and Walter has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Walter is extremely knowledgable in all aspects of the law that I am personally aware of, and I wouldn't think of hiring any other attorney to handl...e any form of litigations or legal proceedings.

What a dud

Paid for a simple change of conditions or release from probation after several years of exempilary behavior. After months and months of inaction on the lawyers part I finally got him to do something. He made my judge and PO mad at me by the things he said about me. Some advocate. I didn't get anythin...g he said he would be able to deliver on because he didn't know the laws going into my case.

"I have worked on many cases with Walter for over the years. He is a very hard working and knowledge attorney. He was the former Chief Staff Attorney at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and this has given him the rare insight into how the courts actually work. .He is one of those rare attorneys that always knows the case law provides that provides the answer for a most situations. I have always known him to be a straight shooter with both his fellow lawyers and his clients. While he may be gruff at times he tells it like it is. I am happy to endorse Walter as an excellent Lawyer"
