I was arrested on charges in williamson county georgetown where i was provided with a court appointed attorney lucio del torro whom laughed at me and also basically told me i was screwed. Mr. Carter saw me within 24hrs. Of being contacted and made me confident about my case. He was helpful and punctual. He understood the politics involved and eventually brought me a dissmissal and gave me my life back.
Id reccomend Mr. Carter to anyone who needs legal help in CD. I put my life in this mans hands and he turned it around and handed it back.
With love and respect..

My husband and I have hired Kenavon Carter a few times and have told all our friends and family that he is the best lawyer to hire when needing help to get out if jail. He is always on the ball when getting someone released from jail. He 1. Gets the job done quickly 2. Answers texts and phone calls promptly 3. Doesn't charge an arm and a leg for his services 4. Answers questions honestly and in a timely manner and 5. Even when a client (like me) doesn't listem to his advice still does everything in his power to keep the said person from getting into more trouble with the judges presiding over their cases. I would use him anytime simply because anyone else would let you down but Kenavon Carter won't because he takes his job seriously and doesn't like to see his clients go back to jail. Thank you Mr Carter you are definitely a life saver.

Kenavon took money from me and refused to refund me for services that he never performed. He has does this before to someone. It has been almost 6 months that I have tried to get my refund. I will be going to the State Bar regards to this.

Kenavon was helpful & informative before he was even hired, I first contacted Kenavon shortly after I was charged with "Assault on a Public Servant". I was innocent of the charges against me, but trying to convince a judge of that was a different story. I knew this case would be difficult to defeat, as it was my word against the Officer of the Law's, even though I was 31 with a clear criminal history. I consulted with Kenavon over the phone & he was very helpful & informative regarding my civil rights, motions I needed to file with the courts, positions the prosecution might take to maintain their claim and picking out details in my story that might help prove my innocence.
I was issued a court appointed attorney due to lack of extra income. Seven months into the trial, my court appointed attorney was trying to get me to accept a plea bargain I did not agree to, so I fired her & hired Kenavon. He immediately took charge of the case & filed the motions to obtain the information that the court appointed attorney couldn't seem to get for me.
Of course the judge was reluctant to call me innocent because that would mean the officer was falsifying charges, so it drug out for five more months. Every time Kenavon appeared in court, he had one more key to my defense. The officer even turned in photos that were taken in 2008 as evidence against me, (my charge happened in 2012) and Kenavon found the date on the original device coding of the pictures, proving beyond a reasonable doubt that the officer was lying.
My charges were dismissed "In The Interest Of Justice". Kenavon was very timely & professional. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer to represent me. I should also mention, this took place in Williamson County. I won't be "Assaulting" any "Officers" in the future, but I know I have Kenavon's number saved in my phone, just incase I'm accused of it again lol.

KC the "hip hop" lawyer was not a great choice for my criminal defense charges. He was very attentive when we first met at his office but over time he was not available to me when I needed him most. My case was reset time after time , month after month and in the end I was still charged with a felony convection so it was a loss of money and time.

In general he was very late to court and showed up for only a brief time and was very rushed when I would ask him important questions that could have made a big difference in my case. He sounded good over the phone and was very personable the first few times we met but after he got my payment of $5000 I really did not see much of him after that. Only could meet with him in court and did not feel like he was taking my case seriously and he could have been more prepared and available to communicate with me. I called and left several voicemails with his answering service but did not get calls returned. He presented himself as a cool hip hop kind of guy but that persona does not go over very well with a judge and jury so in hindsight I really wish I had gone with someone who was more mature and had more courtroom experience. He promised that he had connections that would help get my case dropped but in the end I got probation and I could of done that with a free court apointed attorney so it was a waste of $5000. But hopefully my case was not typical and maybe he is better at other types of law, I just would not recommend him for criminal defense especially when your future is on the line.
