DUI...Gone!

Bristol saved me an incredible amount of time and money. He successfuly got my DUI case reduced to an obstruction of passage! He did not accept any deal until my case was reduced and i was satisfied. Very professional and informative.I would reccomend anyone with a DWI /DUI case on there hands to giv...e him a call. He'll get the job done!

The police are not your friends

Bristol did an amazing job at getting my husbands DWI brought down to reckless driving, he spent 7 days in jail, no probation! He got pulled over for sound ordinance (sitting at a red under the highway),and got arrested for smelling like marajuana although nothing was found on his person or in the v...ehicle. He made the mistake of admitting to smoking some 2 hours prior...total BS....we all know alcohol is way worse. Bristol's staff is incredibly prompt, and friendly. I never had a feeling of judgement, and felt very comfortable from the moment we met with him. Anyway, he did an amazing job, and now my husband doesn't have a crazy DWI on his record...worth every penny.

Review on Bristol Myers, Attorney at Law

After two years and a trial, and with excellent advice from my attorney, Bristol Myers, I was able to receive a Not Guilty vote in a case where someone wrongly accused me of assault with intent for bodily injury. Bristol was recommended to my husband and I. We sat with Bristol and discussed the case..., and immediately retained his service. For over two years, Bristol and his trusted paralegal, Susan, were very organized, kept me in touch with what was going on the court sytem, and when my case finally came to trial, Bristol's questions and arguments were expertly displayed for the court, the judge and jurrors. With Bristol at my side, I never had any doubts that he could clear my name. His actions in the courtroom showed his experience and intelligence. I would highly recommend Bristrol Myers and would retain him again in a heartbeat.

Compassionate guidance

A few years back I found myself on the wrong side of the law after a traffic stop on my way home from a business meeting. As a professional I never thought I would be "that person" who would be arrested. My DWI was something that could have devastated me professionally and socially. Bristol was so... compassionate during my entire ordeal. He answered emails promptly and his staff was available to get the information I needed if he was in court. Bristol worked diligently to get my DWI charge reduced just before we were to go to trial and my professional license was saved. I hope that I never have to be in a situation like this again, but if it happens I know I would call Bristol again.

took money and never informed client of court date change nor mandatory requirements

I contacted Bristol in November, 2010 regarding my case. The "free" consultation that ended in him saying he needs $3500 to do it at $500 per month automatically deducted from our account. Since I'd lost my job over the incident, it was a great sacrifice as we knew there were other lawyers who cou...ld charge half that much. I told him I'd have to leave Austin because I couldn't find work after two months and my family needed help. He said "go," and "that's not a problem." I had been taking anger management courses as per court order and when I left Austin, I stopped, of course. Nine days before my next court date, I called and left a message that I was now out of state, and since a new court appearance was coming, was there anything I needed to do? I never heard from him. Then I received an email with the subject "WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST." he wrote that since I wasn't taking the required anger management classes the judge had issued a warrant. I've since discovered that there are online courses accepted by Texas courts that I could have been taking the whole time to keep this from happening. Also, the pretrial services court date had changed from Jan. 19 to some earlier date, I don't know when, because this email came two days before my papers state the next pretrial was to occur. Where was Bristol Myer when I called nine days earlier to tell me dates had changed, or that I needed to stay in anger management when I left. Where was he to simply return my call? Nowhere. But he sure took the money from our account. Meanwhile we've paid him $1,000 to get the same results from the courts I could have gotten had I just skipped town. The problem is that had I wished to do that, I would have. I retained him as counsel so I could not be homeless while I put my life back together with those who love me. Thanks for nothing, Bristol. You made it worse by taking what little money we had and turning it into a nightmare we would have had even if we never had a lawyer at all.

"Bristol Myers worked for my firm when he began his legal career and I am so happy to endorse him today. Bristol is a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. Bristol is big on detail and preparation and he can see through the thinly veiled lies that come from the witness stand in so many criminal cases. Bristol has made me proud of his accomplishments since he set out on his own and he has served his clients well. I recommend Bristol not only as a friend but because he represents our profession well. Bristol is a former DWI Dude warrior and I am glad to call him my friend. Hopefully we will work together on another case sooner than later."

"I endorse this lawyer. Bristol is an amazing lawyer. Simply put, if I were in trouble in Austin I would want Bristol Myers working on my case. He is tenacious and effective in all phases of his practice. He is a zealous advocate and has an AMAZING track record for success in trial. My goal is to be as accomplished as Bristol has been as a defense attorney. He is one of the few attorneys I know that has ONLY been a defense attorney while also obtaining board certification. This is very rare and I hope I can do the same when I am eligible."
