Very Dedicated

John and Meredith has helped tremendously with Dahlia. Their team helped me with my divorce decree battle over the last 5 years. They have stood by my side and they were like second family to me. They are God send to me and my children. I couldn’t find any words on how awesome they work my case. I a...m very grateful and blessed to have them fight for me. Thank you and my Family appreciate you.

John has been a true blessing to our family .

I would like to start by saying that John Izzo knows very well what he is doing and that he handles the situations like none other . These difficult times for us are emotional and are not an easy thing to go through, but let me tell you what a difference it has made having someone in our corner t...hat will fight his heart out for us , has never left us hanging and we have been through a lot of this over the past several years due to the other side and there nonsense . John Izzo has been with us every step of the way . John gives knowledgable advice and handles the case and himself very well , he has never promised an outcome to us, as that can't truthfully be done . However our case and our family has got exceptional results every time. John works with the facts and presents them extremely well. John represented me several years ago , John got my son returned to me from another state ! I have had my son every since . John then begin to represent my fiancee a short time later and she has her son ever since . Due to the other side we have had to endure several trips into the court house including -at the drop of a hat notice from the court that we would have to be in court for emergency hearing the following morning , John notified us immediately as soon as he got notice from the court , he called every phone number he had for us until he got in touch with us ! Then he was standing in the courtroom on time batting for us with less then 24 hours notice to anyone on our side knowing this was going to happen including himself . Once again we got great results as John put a stop to the foolish games the other side was trying to play . Let me tell you most attorneys are not going to do this for you that is amazing . John has been there everytime and has gotten us exceptional results. I highly recommend John to anyone that is going through this difficult time , there may also be other good family attorneys out there but I can say from experience we have had and having John by our side , that if I had any other then John Izzo in our corner , I would feel like I had less .

Poster for BAD attorney

Starts by saying we got the worst judge on the docket and that will cost you (the client) more money. He works only by cell but does not return calls. Business card does not show e-mail. Uses a rent an office where rent-a- secretary admits "poor cell reception". Then he charges you for not calling h...im. Charges clients for postage, copies and for driving to court to represent you. Promises a successful outcome then gets to court and never says a word. Upon leaving the court asks for more Money to continue to fight this case. If you refuse to pay more he files a Motion for withdrawal from your case. if you agree to the withdrawal Mr. Izzo sends you an outrageous bill with fee's you never agreed to and of course the 3000.00 retainer did not cover. And this experience happened in a space of 2 weeks.

I was saddened to see the above post a few days ago and thought that I would respond. I knew who this individual was as soon as I read the post. Unfortunately, attorneys will upon occasion encounter clients who have unreasonable expectations, or who turn out not to be truthful causing their attorney to withdraw from their case. Sometimes these individuals respond by attempting to slander the attorney’s good name, since a bar complaint would be futile if the attorney did nothing wrong. My response to this individual’s comments follows: 1) I have never told anyone that a particular judge, “will cost you more money” … that does not even make sense. 2) I do not work only by cell. Our main office number is 512-218-9292 and my paralegal Dahlia fields our lawyer calls. Unlike many other attorneys, I DO give my clients my personal cell phone number so that they might reach me in an emergency 3) Of course lawyers charge for postage, copies and mileage. These items appear plainly in our employment contract which every client executes and they represent legitimate business expenses on behalf of our clients. 4) In all of the years I have practiced as a licensed attorney in good standing with the Bar in Texas, I have NEVER promised a successful outcome. That is unethical and again nonsensical. An attorney can provide an estimate of a particular client’s chances for success, but if the client is untruthful; the opposing party has better facts; witnesses fail to appear, or the judge simply has a different take on the above referenced facts … then a less than desirable outcome may result. I ALWAYS discuss case facts with new clients and try to supply a reasonable assessment of their chances for success. 5) Finally, retainers will vary depending on each particular case. If a matter is settled quickly, funds remaining in trust for a client are refunded. If a case is progressing, and the initial retainer is used up, it needs to be supplemented. Civil attorneys are paid hourly and fees are dependent on the complexity of each case. For example, if a matter requires two or more temporary hearings, mediation and a final hearing, it will cost significantly more than one which settles after two opposing attorneys talk and their clients agree to settle.
