Jo helped me through my DWI case which has been one of the toughest times i’ve dealt with. She’s very knowledgeable in what she does, represents her client with professionalism and integrity. Jo came recommended from a Travis Co Sheriff friend of mine that reached out to an Austin attorney friend of his. With that recommendation alone I knew I was in the right hands. Having never been in trouble with the law and catching a DWI was the scariest and most shameful moment of my life. From the... initial phone conversation with Jo, her willingness to meet me after hours, up to our initial handshake, she never allowed me to feel embarrassment or shame. Straight shooter from the hip, she laid it all out, my best and worst case scenarios. I felt like I was talking with a friend but seeking their professional advice. She was extremely personable and funny and still exuded a "boss" presence. I knew right away she was the one I wanted to represent me. While everything went relatively smoothly, it wasn't until I was in one of my court mandated classes that it became even more apparent that I'd made the right choice. I honestly can't say enough great things about her. On a couple of occasions I had to text her for reassurance. Jo was on top of everything and didn't sugar coat one bit on how things could possibly turn out. I had a lot of evidence that could've really been used against me (BAC .177) but she gave me hope when she found alternative routes that could possibly prevent from getting a harsh punishment for the firs...t offense. The end result was getting my DWI dropped down to obstruction of highway passage and 15 months deferred probation that would end in getting the case dismissed upon completion! It will be hard work but it's better than getting a DWI smacked on my background, I truly appreciate the hard work and effort! She was appointed to me but it felt as if she was hired directly by me. Do whatever she says to do, she has your best interest at heart she's great at what she does!
