I had a consultation with Mr Whalen & explained my situation to him & he explained what I needed & how easy it would be to do it all on-line. I went on-line & paid the retaining fee & then waited to hear from someone regarding my case. I never did hear from them, & when I called, the legal assistant ...had no idea who I was or what my case was about. They told me I needed to pay $675. for a new deed to be created for my dad’s house. So I gladly paid them and waited to hear from them & got nothing. Eventually, when they did contact me it was to tell me that I paid them for the deed but that I had to an affidavit of heirship 1st before the deed could be created. And that it would cost $3,975. Had they told me that from the beginning I would have said thank you & moved on. So, they kept my money, billed me for another $200. for absolutely nothing. I feel like they absolutely rendered zero services to me. When I asked if I could speak to Mr. Whalen they told me for $375.I could bc my consultation was already provided. I do not recommend this law firm I feel like they took my money for a service but did not produce any service whatsoever. I walked away with zero from them. Only gained a great sense of regret & disappointment, they took advantage & told me that they could not produce step 2 of the process, until I paid them for step 1 of the process. Why would they do that? And instead of refunded me the money I paid they added an extra 200 & sent me a bill. But for what? I got nothing in return. I feel like a victim of theirs instead of a valued paying customer. And when I spoke with the “office manager” is what they called her, she talked to me like I was the dumbest person on the planet. Guess that may be true bc I was the dumbest person to have even called these guys. I am still in disbelief that they are allowed to take my money but give me nothing in return. This should not have happened & I don’t know what to do about it. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I feel so ripped off by this firm. I’m still in the same position when I had the consultation, with Mr Whalen, but $750.00 broker, & him $750.00 richer. How can they sleep at night? Don’t trust this firm with your assets.
