I was born in Texas, raised in New Jersey for part of my childhood, and fortunately landed back in Texas. I have been part of the Cedar Park and Leander community since 1993, so when I deceided to start my law practice I could not imagine doing it anywhere but here in Central Texas.
I am a graduate of Texas A&M Univeristy. Received my Master's Degree in Public Administration from Texas State University and my J.D. at Texas Southern.
I've worked as a clerk in the Williamson County District Clerk's Office, an office assistant with Williamson County Court at Law #2, as a paralegal for University of Texas San Antonio, a paralegal with a prominent DWI Attorney in San Antonio, and as an attorney with a local family and criminal law attorney in Cedar Park. These expereinces taught me so much about the law, but more importantly about people.
While I was working at Williamson County I was writing my master's thesis on Mental Health Court Administration, and I realized then, that people of all walks of life need an advocate when they are in the grindstone of the criminal justice system. I also attended an HBC at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where I learned from a diverse group of people and experiences. All of which add to my passion for advocating for people who are in desparate need of a voice.
I love the law, but most of all I love helping people. I have a deep passion for fighting for people's rights and also helping them with their legal issues in the context of their lives. I practice law with honesty and integrity, and I want to do more than "handle" client's legal matters, I want to help get my clients through what can seem like a difficult part of their lives.
