I have spent nearly a decade practicing law, and my career has been shaped by a deep commitment to protecting children, supporting families, and advocating with both strength and compassion. Before co-founding Huckaby Hicks, PLLC, I served as an Assistant District Attorney in Hays County, where I represented the Department of Family and Protective Services in some of the most complex civil mediations, litigation matters, and jury trials.
During my time as a civil prosecutor, I prepared 17 cases for jury trial, tried 9 to verdict, and first-chaired more than half of them. I’ve gained hundreds of hours of courtroom experience in highly contested hearings and bench trials, written civil and criminal appeals, and provided trainings to CPS professionals, law enforcement, and guardian ad litems. Protecting children from abuse, neglect, and family violence—and helping the professionals who serve them—remains one of my highest priorities.
Before entering public service, I practiced at a premier family law firm in Austin, where I counseled clients through complex issues involving business valuations, substance abuse, protective orders, and high-conflict litigation.
As a founding partner of a female-owned and operated family law firm, I take a calculated, persistent, and thoughtful approach to each case. I understand the pressures of being both a parent and a businesswoman, and I bring that perspective to every client I represent. While every family and every legal matter is unique, I strive to provide clear guidance, practical solutions, and strong advocacy—whether through negotiation, mediation, or at trial.
My goal is always to move cases forward with integrity, preparation, and a steady commitment to the families who trust me with their most important matters.

Whitney has been absolutely amazing! Our family custody case has been anything but normal, she didn't flinch at the chaos and rid...

Hardworking, Highly Repsonsive Attorney
From the first meeting I had with Whitney, I was comfortable and knew that I would be well taken care of throughout my case. There were several times I would she would contact me in the evenings and on weekends; I was kept informed every step of the way. What should have been a cut and dry case was...

A stick of dynamite loyalty and experience
By all means do not judge a book by its cover. Attorney Whitney Borgman is tiny and petite but she came to the court room with explosive energy. Ms. Borgman commanded and supported me through a very difficult time. Stop wasting money and time give her a call, I know she'll complete a successful task...

Produced very satisfactory results!
Ms Borgman guided me though my recent divorce and settlement , her communications are prompt and clear. The opposing counsel constantly threw up obstacles and stalling tactics which Ms Borgman handled professionally . Her advice showed her knowledge of my case and and of the legal system. I would...
