Ruby D. Musgrove

Ruby is a passionate, dedicated, and proud first-generation Latina family law attorney, committed to guiding her clients through some of life’s most difficult legal challenges with compassion, expertise, and fierce advocacy. As the lead family law attorney at LDG, PLLC, she takes on cases involving Child Protection Services (CPS), representing both parents and children, as well as adoption, contested and uncontested divorces, and complex custody disputes.

She understands that family is at the heart of everything—it’s the foundation of our culture, our communities, and our lives. When a family is in crisis, the effects ripple far beyond the immediate household. That’s why Ruby approaches every case with a balance of strategic precision and deep empathy, ensuring her clients feel heard, supported, and empowered through the legal process. Beyond the courtroom, Ruby is a dedicated advocate for family law scholarship and Latino civic engagement. She co-authored the education section in the 2024 ABA Hispanic Legal Rights Commission Report and regularly speaks on legal panels about the evolving landscape of family law.

As a commissioner for the ABA Hispanic Legal Rights and Responsibilities Commission, she works to develop and support initiatives that educate lawyers on how to best serve and support the Latino community. Mentorship is also close to her heart—she has worked with the National Hispanic Institute to help shape future leaders through critical thinking and problem-solving.

Ruby is an active member of the Travis County Women Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Austin Bar Association, continuously engaging with the legal community to stay ahead of trends and best practices. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she ensures that every client, regardless of background, receives personalized, thoughtful, and effective legal counsel.
