When I was surprised with a false-claim temporary restraining order that was served to me, with little time to prepare our case and defend me against my ex wife, who had no problem building up her case with lies and deceit to fluff her case/masking the truth, (and had been collecting selective "evide...nce") which she twisted to conform to her agenda, hoping to start her " life" over with her new boyfriend and my children, she had been plotting a calculated plan for the better part of a year, so time, her "questionable evidence" and the odds themselves were stacked against us when I was surprised by this case. In one week, Jennifer was able to build our defense, executed her plan and win our case, which my ex had been secretly plotting for almost a year, unknown to me. The claims were many and some were my word against her's, which were also lies to try and sway the judge. She calmly yet aggressively defended against all of the accusations, finding a way to have the lies exposed or prove how they were either impossible or highly unlikely, against the petitioner and her team. Not only did we win my case, but I had my children back from my ex who was trying to take them away with her intricate web of misinformation, within 2 hours of leaving the courthouse. I truly believe had I chosen any other attorney, my ex may have gotten away with abusing he system and taking my kids away by misrepresenting the truth. There may be cheaper attorneys available, but with something as valuable as your children being at risk, I couldn't go in without the BEST by my side in the courtroom. I hired the Locke Group to handle a multistate child support and custody case. I initially worked with attorney Jason, who left the firm, and I was then reassigned to Jennifer. Both attorneys appeared unable to coordinate with the State's general attorney to give me a clear answer on whether I could ...pursue child support from my ex in Texas — a question I have been trying to resolve for over a year without a definitive response. Communication has been a consistent problem throughout my case. Outside of scheduled court appearances, my requests for meetings and updates have frequently gone unanswered for weeks to months with no communication and making no progress on cases. My most recent court date was in early June 2026, after which Jennifer was expected to schedule a follow-up hearing and address the child support determination and finalize the custody modification. Since then, I have not heard from her despite sending numerous messages requesting a call — it has now been two months. When I raised this issue with her legal aides, I found their responses unprofessional and dismissive. They claimed she had no action pending on her side for my case which shows how incompetent they are. She never even told her aides what was pending and now the case has stalled for 2 months when it could have been resolved by now. They all refused to schedule a call with me on her calendar. Mind you, i'masking for a quick 20 min call to review my case and next steps, not an hours long conference call. Given the lack of communication and the months long delays this has caused in my case, they forced me to hire a new lawyer. Now Jennifer is retaliating by not giving my new lawyer my case files. I HAVE FILED A GRIEVANCE AGAINST THIS LAW FIRM AS THE ACTIONS ABOVE DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR CODE OF ETHICS. THEY HAVE BROKEN 4 OF THE ETHICS THEY ARE REQUIRED TO FOLLOW. I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking a knowledgeable lawyer who follows their code of ethics, communicates clearly, meets deadlines, and handles cases with urgency. Hire at your own risk
