Mark L. Medley

I was referred to Mark when my custody case and psychological study was delayed by my ex. We sat before just about every Judge before this ended, and in each instance it was clear that his experience and professionalism earned him the respect of the Judge and court staff. He and his staff work har...d and Mark is particularly skilled at managing the unexpected opportunities that come up on court- he took advantage of more than one critical opportunity to turn my case around. I achieved sole managing conservatorship which I hear is very rare. Mark was a true advocate and he allowed me to work along side him through a 5 day trial, handing him every record I could find to demonstrate our story was rooted in truth. The services were not cheap, but then again, you aren't looking for a bargain when you are fighting for your kids future happiness. Mark is also a good person with a sense of humor- you will need both if you are in a highly contested divorce.

Seventeen years ago was my first experience having Mark as my lawyer. Before Mark I had been living in a battered women's shelter with my children, going through a very long and rough divorce, but with a decently good lawyer that the shelter offered me. Then my attorney from the battered women's shel...ter became ill and I was without a lawyer. I went through two other very bad lawyers before I was referred to Mark. Mark was my saving grace. He is like a hammer in the court room and very protective of his clients, in addition to being extremely knowledgeable of the law. Through the last seventeen years I have called on Mark as my lawyer when needed, and referred him to many different people; family and friends. He has always done a great job for myself and those I have referred him to. Mark is the "Superman" of lawyers who is well respected, extremely knowledgeable, and a very good person. If you have ever had a bad lawyer, you know how important it is to have a good one. He is one of the good ones, and the only one I trust to be sitting next to me in the court room as my lawyer.

So I promised an update so here it is! I retained Mark in Feb 2015 and we just finalized mediation today. In a mere 7 months, Mark reversed a terrible custody arrangement that had been in place for almost 5 years. He's truly the best money I have ever spent. He's aggressive and he is EXTREMELY knowle...dgeable!!! He is very well respected within his industry. Mark will shoot you straight about your case and he is reliable and trustworthy. He's amazing!!! He's truly the best attorney in San Antonio.

Medley is currently working my case and I have to say he gets things done. Upon taking my case, it was in such disarray and very well underway (5 years of litigation underway). Right away he started cleaning things up, setting hearings and didn't mess around with opposing counsel who dragged their fe...et on everything. I think people need to understand, that their case is not the only case being worked on. When it mattered, Mark contacted me and kept me informed in a timely manner. The relationship works best when he's not being micro-managed which I understand so I do give him time to return calls and/or emails. We talk on a weekly basis and I also work well with his paralegal Lori. We talk over case strategy and he really makes me feel like we are a team. He does cost a pretty penny so if you don't have at least 10k to put down, you may want to look elsewhere. I will tell you that I'm very happy thus far.
