I had a horrible experience with Stacey. She wasn't interested in calling me when i expressed i felt like verbal communication would help clarify the 2 months of emails and legal documents. Very arrogant, intolerant of questions, and rude. Claimed I accused her of malpractice because I asked questi...ons -for clarification, which i made clear i was confused and worried about. She's very abrupt and impatient during the stressful time of seeking divorce support, called me "combative" because I was stressed out about the confusion, implied i was stupid for asking a question she didn't like as she said, "Amber, nobody in my 30 years of practice has asked that." Don't know why she couldn't have just answered it instead of implied how stupid i was. Very unprofessional. Her harsh language and clear lack of time or interest with me lead me to accept her offer to drop me after which, she refused to represent me in the motion of withdrawal. I can understand why she wouldn't want to admit she called me combative and insisted she was going to drop me. Probably looks bad to the judge and on record, arguably neglectful. But that's the truth of how she handled it. On the positive side, she did refund my remaining retainer, but I would still not recommend her.

A true God send!

The first time I meet with Stacy I knew right away she was the attorney I should of hired from the start. I had hired another attorney over two years ago and my case was barely moving. As you can imagine, I was frustrated and beside myself, I couldn't take anymore of the delay. The day after I ...hired Stacy I received confirmation she had already began working on my case and working to get my court date. I was elated! With-in the following months, I discovered she was always prepared and she remembered names, times and situations from the past. Let me be the first to tell you, this was extremely refreshing, since my last attorney never could keep up the details of my case. Stacy knew the law inside and out and honestly blew the opposing counsel out of the water with her knowledge. She has fire, drive, and dedication. She obviously loves what she does because shows. My only regret is that I didn't hire her sooner, because she worth every penny!! Thank you for all your hard work, I can't express how happy you have made me and my son. From the bottom of my heart, thank you thank you!!!!

Invoicing and Billing--17 months re'd 2 Summaries

Stacy was great for my first time I hired her for the divorce. The second time was a nightmare--I received a 2 invoices over a 17 month period. I saw her for 3 things and I'm still working with the OAG myself to resolve the increased to child support. Went to court in July..October her office had ...still not competed the document with basics on it. I received continuous charges for following up on her.

Excellent attorney who cares

My husband moved our children and I to Texas 5 years ago after accepting a position with his company. The children and I came down six weeks after him due to waiting for the school marking period to end so that they could start at their new schools at the beginning of the new six week marking per...iod. It was a very difficult transition for my children and myself as I left behind my recently widowed mother of 81 years old, but I was trying to support my husband in his new position and felt the move may be for the best for our family. I discovered after living here for 3 years that he had been involved in an affair with his co-worker that started before the children and I even moved here. I was devastated and with the advice of family and friends I decided to hire Stacy to file for divorce based on his infidelity. The divorce was filed in December of 2014. My husband pleaded with me to try to reconcile and work things out. In January of 2015 I decided to try to reconcile as I am not an advocate for dicorce and come from a traditional Catholic family. However after a few months of trying to reconcile I realized that he was still seeing the same woman. Unfortunately, prior to discovering this, I dismissed the case, against Stacy's advice. I felt it was the best way to prove my diligence to my husband in trying to reconcile. Stacy advised me to just leave the case on hold until we were sure everything was working out but I insisted on dismissing it. That was March of 2015. Immediately I noticed the difference in my husband's enthusiasm in trying to work things out and realized I had made a huge mistake. I called Stacy and explained I had screwed up and wanted to proceed with the divorce. Stacy is a compassinate person. She said she would do her best to go forward to help me. Long story short, even with a divorce no longer pending, and witbout having to refile, we were able to go before the judge and convince him to sign the petition to lift the dismissal and proceed with the divorce. Due to the amount of time that had passed, the moment he signed the paperwork the divorce became official since we were way past the waiting period. That was March of 2016, a year after I had dismissed it . Stacy never charged me another dime after the original agreed fee almost two years prior and helped me out of the nightmare I had been living. Stacey is an excellent attorney who cares about her clients and does not treat them all the same but carefully assesses each case upon the situation the client is in. I cannot say enough about her. She is professional yet compassionate and truly cares about her clients. You cannot find a better attorney. She will go to bat for you 100% and then some. If you are looking for representation of an attorney in the New Braunfels/San Antonio area, look no further than Stacy Goodbread, she is absolutely the best out there.

This is the absolute best lawyer to have on your side!

Going through a tricky divorce, other lawyers that I consulted with told me that I was in a really bad spot and justice was not going to be able to be served in this divorce. Stacy took the time to dig deep into the facts and worked MIRACLES! She was supportive and personable and I never for a seco...nd regretting hiring her on the spot. She is the best bang for your buck and is an absolute bulldog in the court room! She is level headed and knows this process like the back of her hand. She cares about the outcome and her staff is also very attentive and patient. There were a bunch of bumps in the road that Stacy and her team smoothed out and I could not be happier!! For such a stressful and high-emotional experience Stacy really put things into perspective and calmed my worries. I would without a doubt, hire her again if I had to relive this process over again!
