If you want waste a ton of money and get absolutely no work done on your case this is the Con man to hire . I hired Mr. Briones October 26 of 2025. This day I had a consultation with him went over all my documents told him how bad of an experience I was having with a previous attorney, not being aggr...essive and moving my case forward Mr. Briones’s talked a real big game about how he’s gonna be aggressive and get these motions filed for the enforcement get a temporary hearing order filed and he would have this case closed out within 45 days.. we are now going into February. We have not had a temporary order filed. I had to draft up my own enforcement, my own subpoena for phone records for hospital records, all of which were provided to him, and still not filed .on the day that the opposing council reaches out to him in a matter regarding their issues Mr. Briones decides he wants to file an enforcement for me Jan 20 2026 which I advised him was completed wrong and was missing over 15 of the violations that needed to be included. Mr. Briones refused to amend the petition to the correct filing. when it was time to do discovery, Mr. Briones‘s forward me the opposing parties email and did not explain anything to me what it was that I was answering what was expected of me to answer what my rights were to avoid answering some questions that were invasive and inappropriate, and not required to be answered instead continue to direct me to his paralegal in which eight out of the 10 times I could never get a hold of. when we finally get a moment to go over the discovery, Mr. Briones decided to bill me for his hourly rate and not the paralegals who was the one actively working on the paperwork. Mr. Briones’s did not meet deadlines. I had to send four emails three phone calls to his office to know when the deadline for the discovery was due with no answer. This led to the deadline, not being met and following nearly 30 days behind because of his incompetence. He sent over discovery to the opposing council without any signatures or my approval, then reached out to me for my signature and my approval all which is recorded to show that he and his staff did not have the required signatures needed prior to sending any documents to the opposing council. if you are fighting for custody of your children dealing with Cps matters, this is not the Attorney for you stay so far away from this man cause every phone call you receive from him. Will be one asking you for more money despite having written contracts put into place with set payment plans. please read all reviews to include the -ones and trust that those are the accurate description of this con man. If you need to call other attorneys and get their opinions on Mr. Briones’s, they will tell you he is a joke and laugh in your face when tell them this is who you have representing you. He will not fight for you. He will allow you to be walked over by opposing council, despite having injunctions and court orders in place that protect your rights that could be enforced. This man will do absolutely nothing to advocate for you. trust and believe that a complaint to the Texas Bar Association is in the works as incompetence like this and legal representation such as this needs to be dealt with appropriately. And I am fully prepared for him to come on here and have some of his own crap to spill so I’ll go ahead and post some of my photos of the communication where he always refers me to contact his office, but no one never answers thank God I recorded every single phone call conversation with this man and will be using in my complaint to the Texas bar. also be aware that when you sign a contract with him and you decide to fire him, he has it in the contract that he is allowed to discuss your case with his comments on the review answer Just so you’re fully aware how this man works. And after he was fired, he wants to send a motion to withdrawal from council like he wasn’t just fired three days prior.

Mr. Briones is a generic result attorney that totally got annihilated in court JP3 04/13/21 He was representing my family members in a civil suit and even got their name incorrect. Briones was unprepared and tried to scam Judge Wentworth into believing that only one person was on a deed to a home ...in dispute as if the other ex spouse was not on the deed at all. When the Judge called him out in it, Briones stumbled in his words saying he misunderstood. Briones did not even have the divorce Decree with him that literally won the case for the opponent . He told the Judge he did not know what was on it and got annihilated once again when the Judge had the copy of the decree and told him that his name was on it. He had signed it, yet had pretended he was unaware of the stipulations on it that favored the opponent and the case was lost for Briones. I believe the Judge could see through Briones right away and his credentials were immediately lost. This attorney is exactly the kind of attorney to avoid.

I went to see Mr. Briones for a consultation in December of last year. My ex wife was moving to Laredo and taking our son to go live over there. I asked Mr. Briones for help and he recommended that we file for a modification to have my son come live me with and not have to go to Laredo. It seemed im...possible and I never thought I would have a chance but Mr. Briones was very certain that we could fight for this. I didn't have very much money to pay for a retainer so he asked for a little up front and put me on a payment plan. We went to court a few times and at the last hearing we won. My son now lives with me full time and I couldn't ask for a better lawyer on my side then Ricardo Briones.

Ricardo took on my girlfriends case 2 weeks before her courtdate on a payment plan wich I spent almost all hearing no from different lawyers he did everything he said he would and after everything was done he told me not to worry about the rest of the balance I was very happy I hired.
