She was assigned to me through firm she was in but I had to branch out with her because I kept getting new lawyers and it was just too much for me. We contacted the BRCK Criminal defense Attorney’s Team. Mrs. Monica Khirallah was assigned to us WHILE she was in a VACATION. Communication was the worst part overall. Out of ten days she only communicated with me twice for less than 5 min. She did not want lo listen what i had to say. As a attorney... she had no compassion. She genuinely did not care about our situation. It seems like she was guessing I had to read about Texas law on my own. I felt like she was not assertive about the case at first i was super lost, she literally told me not to contact her she was gonna contacted me until today i am still waiting on her call. The cost to hire her was not a problem until she showed how poor her work ethic was about this case. Our case was pretty much set up to be dismissed we just needed a legal representative; however, she had no interest to help at the moment. I have a loved one who got into some trouble for the first time ever in their life. We initially hired the wrong attorney but this still should have never been a big deal, just a life lesson to be learned. My loved one insisted they were not guilty and from the video evidence that we saw I agreed, bu...t our attorney at the time just kept telling us that to go to trial was going to be too expensive and too risky. Our attorney advised we were better off taking "A deal". If you've watched a few too many legal drama television shows in your life I can guarantee that you have an unrealistic expectation of what is going to transpire in a real life courtroom setting. If you happen to be unfortunate enough to need legal representation in Kendall County it's more than likely because you have been arrested & charged with a felony for an offense that is considered a misdemeanor anywhere else. Good luck with that, because I have now spent many hours observing court cases here locally and all that I see are attorneys making some kind of deal that involves long-term expensive probation and that's what happened with my loved one also. 14 months into an 18-month probation there was a misunderstanding and it doesn't matter what kind of misunderstanding you have if you find yourself in police custody you have violated your probation. Nearly two weeks went by talking to different attorneys while my loved one sat in jail without bail. I could have had 1 million in cash & it would not have gotten her out on bond. By pure accident I was looking at another member with the BCP criminal defense team and I was very impressed by what I saw. I accidentally clicked off the screen and there was Mrs. Khirallah's profile. After a few minutes of reading about Monica on the Avvo website I decided she was the one we needed on our side and sent her a message at 2:30 a.m. on a Saturday. I met with Monica that Monday afternoon and within 10 minutes of meeting her a bond amount had been set where other attorneys left me hanging wondering if a bond amount could ever be reached... This case was an absolute nightmare dropped in Monica's lap with minimal preparation time and the prosecution not introducing evidence until after the first appearance. Within a few short weeks a case that in no way could have ended without a minimum (And I MEAN minimum) of 2 years in a state jail ended with my loved one getting the court ordered help they really needed from the beginning and coming home with me that day from the courtroom. There could not have been any more hurdles put in Monica's way to show the judge that this person needed professional help, not 2 years in jail. The Prosecution in Kendall County only cares about a win at any cost, and if they face Monica or any of the other BCP team I don't see that win to loss record being very good in the future. Each time Monica questioned a witness she asked the outside of the box but very relevant questions proving that this was all just a series of unfortunate events, leading to a big misunderstanding needing HELP! not prison. Monica's performance under fire in the courtroom is something you have to witness for yourself and is absolutely incredible to watch. The passion of an attorney you see on TV with the professionalism and experience you need when your freedom is at stake. As long as Mrs. Khirallah is practicing law she has two very loyal clients for life.
