Don't believe the "positive" online reviews

I would give fewer stars if it was possible and advise you not to believe all the positive reviews here! Matt Peacock took my money in late November 2024 and did NOTHING to help me. I spoke with him on the phone for less than 5 minutes and everything else was through his staff. I couldn't discuss a ...thing with him. I left numerous messages and Mr. Peacock refused to call me back. His staff set me up an appointment to review video evidence he had obtained (he'd only received a few of the many pieces of evidence he SHOULD have had available 2-3 months after the event), and I overheard some of his other staff members talking in an adjacent room, laughing, saying a term I was unfamiliar with, "Bleed 'em and plead 'em." When I looked it up on Google I was aghast! It means for a lawyer to take as much money from their client as they can, do nothing, and then cop a plea. Jamie Nichols, his then-New Case Intake person left the firm shortly after giving us a glowing recommendation and getting $1,000 down and completing paperwork to hire Matt Peacock. I gave up my court-appointed lawyer to hire Matt Peacock, instead. Big mistake! After that, his other staff member (Brie/Gabrielle) canceled those payment documents I'd signed online on Docusign, and rather than investigating or calling me to find out what was happening or to actually talk to me about my CASE, he assumed I just wasn't paying, and filed a Motion to Withdraw (as my attorney) leaving me scrambling on my COURT DATE to find and hire another attorney! Curiously, the date on the Motion was in April, but the judge signed it nearly 3 months later, 2 days before my court date. Prior to this, I had left two messages for Gary Medlin, the Senior Partner in the firm, asking him to call me back after I couldn't reach Matt to ask him if I could see someone else to help me. Gary Medlin never called me, either. I learned that every member of this firm's staff is greedy and as incompetent and uncaring as Matt Peacock is! I would advise you to RUN from this firm!

Sandra, You never hired me to represent you, you hired the Medlin Law Firm- with whom I was employed at the time. I never met you at the time of the consultation but had multiple phone calls and office meetings with you. As we was the office policy, once you stopped paying for us to continue to represent you, we were unable to do any more work on the case. At the time we withdrew, you desperately wanted the firm to stay in your case so it’s ridiculous to claim that you heard someone say “bleed them and plead them.” And, as a matter of fact, I never asked you to take a plea on your case. I actually told you, as I tell all of my clients, that I would go to trial for you. I didn’t plea your case or take any of your money. I had no dealings with client payments or client intake while with the Medlin Firm. You were the one who didn’t up hold the financial end of your promise, so the firm was, unfortunately, forced to withdraw from your case. I’m sorry things went sideways with your relationship with the firm, but I have many client google reviews that show I am ethical and above board. I have always prided myself on how I treat clients, my ability to communicate with them, and my skills in the courtroom fighting for each client, regardless of the case.

Amazing Attorney

I had a great experience with the Medlin Law Firm , Matt Peacock was my attorney, he was amazing super nice, explained the process of my case and worked diligently to have it dismissed. I have absolutely no complaints. I will definitely recommend him 100%. I will definitely use them again if the need... should arise as I am very thankful to Mr. Peacock and his team.

Awesome attorney and legal team

Matt and his legal assistant Natalie were amazing. He and Natalie always kept me informed about my case and how it was progressing. They always returned my phone calls! And Matt got me an amazing outcome. They are both an asset to the Medlin law firm!

Review of Lawyer Matthew Peacock

I am completely satisfied with my lawyers representation of my cases with the Tarrant County Criminal courts. Not only did he exceed any expectations but was also prompt, knowledgeable and concerned with me as a person as a whole. I would recommend his practice of law to any seeking a compassionate ...and diligent lawyer in a criminal case. He had both of my charges dismissed.
