Kurt Scott Hopke

My son needed a criminal defense attorney. We had already hired an attorney and had been to the courthouse a couple of times with the other attorney, and this attorney was advising us that the "deal" the DA would be offering, would probably be the best we could hope for. This other attorney did not... read or review my son's file, and he did not remember anything the second time at the courthouse that we discussed the first time we had been there. A friend of my son's had hired Kurt and had a very good outcome with his case, and had recommended that we go talk to him. I am so glad we took that advice. We made an appointment and went to his office, and we discussed the facts of my son's case. He asked a lot of questions, and took notes (which the other attorney did not). We got a very good "feel" about him after this first consultation and hired him to replace the original attorney. When we went to court, Kurt must have spent at least an hour in the courtroom reading and reviewing the entire file. He then took us in a consultation room and explained to us in detail the case, and how he felt that we should proceed. He did not advise us to take the deal, he wanted to get additional information. He didn't go for the "quick fix" (the deal). We felt that he listened to our concerns and was totally engaged in our case. We had a very positive outcome, my son's case was dismissed. I felt his responsiveness was excellent. If I had a concern, I would email or text him, and he would respond promptly. I also felt him to be extremely forthcoming and knowledgeable. I would describe him as "driven" and not just there to collect your money. He seems to enjoy his work and I highly recommend him for any criminal defense.

I hired Mr. Hopke to help me with my DWI case. He was very informative as to how we would beat the case, and how we had so much evidence to work in our favor. He made sure I didn't get my license suspended by handling my ALR outside of the actual court case. Ultimately the DWI case was dismissed and ...I am very grateful to Kurt Hopke for allowing me to maintain my clean record. I will most definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a good lawyer. I highly recommend Mr. Hopke. I have had my fair share of lawyers in the last couple of years and I must say that Kurt is the only lawyer out of my many that I can honestly say "Yes, I am extremely satisfied with his representation". He is the point, responds quickly and accurately, dedicated to h...is clients, great business ethics overall. Out of all the lawyers I have hired....I didn't feel like Kurt was extending a "Sales Pitch" to win my business, when I hired him (being that I am a salesperson myself, and a complete turnoff to me, especially coming from a lawyer). I was facing serious charges and had lost all hope until I met Kurt. I had gone through two lawyers before him, both of which let me down. Kurt was professional and very knowledgeable. I just found out today that my case has been dismissed. Kurt worked very hard to make it happen and I am very gratef...ul. I was shocked to see someone wrote something negative about him.
