Kurt Scott Hopke

Kurt was appointed for my theft case and the results were life changing. I was looking at hard state time and had run for awhile. This gentleman went to bat for me and won. Cannot say enough thanks to him for helping me get back on the lawful side. He didnt see a criminal. Did I say court appointed?... Thank you from my family and me.

Mr. Hopke represented me from the week I was arrested in September 2017 until January of 2020. Over the course of nearly two-and-a-half years, Mr. Hopke never lost interest in my case, and never gave me the impression that he wasn't giving it his all. Mr. Hopke was concise in his calls to me, breakin...g down what tactics he would apply to my case as well as updating me with behind the scene developments, all in language so simple that a caveman could understand it. Most importantly, Mr. Hopke was patient; with both my case and with me. He was very transparent with payments and allowed me to pay my debt to him in a way that was manageable. Mr. Hopke's attention to detail is unmatched, something I realized when I sat in my pre-trial hearing. When discussing the outcome of cases with my friends who have faced similar circumstances, I felt happy that I chose Kurt, I had one of the best stories to tell when it came down to the outcome. He worked incredibly hard and the outcome of my case reflected it.

Mr. Hopke represented me on a felony case, and proved to be excellent at what he does. He saw me the day after I contacted him, and anticipated the likely verdict. He had a plan, instructed me on what I needed to do, and knew the right people that could help. He sent me for a psyche evaluation, which... revealed that I'm autistic. (I had no idea, having lived all my life undiagnosed!) Mr. Hopke also knew someone that specialized in that field - the best in Texas - and sent me to that person to be evaluated. With that completed, it was a matter of waiting for the DA to be ready to hear the case. Throughout the time that my case was pending, Mr. Hopke made clear that he was more than just a legal counselor, that he was always available to answer any questions I had. He knew all the possible outcomes and had a plan ready for each of them. I always felt better after I left the courtroom. I eventually got deferred adjudication, just as he said. I don't know if I would ever find out that I'm autistic had I gone with another attorney, if any of them would be willing to go the distance or the financial costs of these psychological evaluations. But Mr. Hopke did, I now know what I have, and am able to look for the right course of actions. I cannot thank him enough.

I want to take the time to write a review/recommendation for Mr. Kurt Hopke. Having never had any experiences with the judicial system, I was very worried about fair treatment, so finding the right attorney was crucial. I was pleased with the performance, support, professionalism and determinat...ion of Mr. Hopke. He helped ease my anxiety. Throughout my case, he was always very quick to respond, made himself available during times that most would consider after hours and always patient in explaining the status and details/developments of my case.
